What's The Weather Like?

What´s the weather like?

Para preguntar por el tiempo en inglés
debemos decir:

What's the weather like?
¿Qué tiempo hace?

Para expresar el tiempo que hace se usa el
pronombre “it” con el verbo To be:

It is hot today.
Hace calor hoy.

what + like

Podemos traducir “what” junto con “like”
por “cómo”.
Like es una preposición que estudiaremos
más adelante.

Podemos decir:

It is sunny.
Hace sol.

It is hot.
Hace calor.

It is warm.
Hace calor (está templado).

It is cold.
Hace frío.

It is windy.
Hace viento.

It is rainy.
Está lluvioso.

It is foggy.
Hay niebla.

It is cloudy.
Está nublado.

¿Cómo es tu hermana? Mi hermana es baja.

She has long, black hair and brown eyes. She is pretty.
Ella tiene el pelo largo y negro y los ojos marrones. Ella es guapa.

What's your room like? It's a big clean room.
¿Cómo es tu habitación? Es una habitación grande y limpia.

There is a bed, a closet and a desk. It's a nice room.
Hay una cama, un armario y un escritorio. Es una habitación agradable.

What's your dog like? It's a short white and black dog.
¿Cómo es tu perro? Es un perro pequeño blanco y negro.

It's a cocker. It has long, big ears. It's very funny. Its name is Julie.
Es un coquer. Tiene orejas largas y grandes. Es muy divertido. Su
nombre es Julie.

What's a bed like? It's big, square and soft. You sleep on it.
¿Cómo es una cama? Es grande, cuadrada y blanda. Duermes sobre
ella.

What's the weather like today dad? It's nice. It's sunny and there aren't
any clouds.
¿Qué tiempo hace hoy papá? Es agradable. Hace sol y no hay ninguna
nube.

What's your father like, Moira? He is tall and thin. He has brown hair and
a moustache.
¿Cómo es tu padre, Moira? Es alto y delgado. Es es moreno y tiene
bigote.

He is a serious man. He always gets up early and works all day.
Él es un hombre serio. Siempre se levanta temprano y trabaja todo el día.

What's your home like, Nick? It's not very big. My room is in the attic. I

and rainy. There isn't sun at all.
