Dear friends and teachers,

I wanted to thank you for your important visit to the ISBCC last week. It was a change that is
much needed and been waiting for too long. Recently, I was shown a clip that is being circulated
that states I cursed Gays etc...

Please feel free to circulate my response to a good friend on the issue.

Thank you and God bless,

Imam Will

Dear Rabbi,

My theology has evolved over the years. I was wrong in those clips. My stance on this issue changed after
meeting with gay congregants and humanizing their struggles some months ago. While I do consider it a sin, I
affirm the right of the constitution for anyone who so chooses to be married, as I affirm the God given right
people have to come and worship in the ISBCC, regardless of their lifestyle. It has taken me sometime to grow
and understand this position - some soul searching on my part. I appreciate you reaching out. If you have any
questions, please feel free to touch base at anytime.

I ask that you give me a little room to try and build this understanding in my own community. Please see the
article published on my website a few weeks ago. I hope it marks an important step in that conversation:

I look forward to meeting you in the future.
