We are excited about your decision to present Ray Parker Jr.

This Rider
outlines the technical requirements of the show as well as production/
advancing details. Please call Brian Foisy 408-529-6388 if you have any
questions about this rider.
Concerning the Ray Parker Jr. engagement at the on , this rider sets forth additional terms and
conditions which when signed by both parties will become part of the Contract dated ____, between
Ray Parker Jr. (referred to as “ENTERTAINERS” in the agreement) and, referred to as “PURCHASER”
in this agreement.This rider shall be fulf lled unless amended by both parties in writing.

1. Billing

1. Artist shall receive 100% star billing and close the show.
2. No other person, persons, or act may be presented as part of this engagement without Artist’s
written permission. A co-billing situation should read “Ray Parker Jr. In Concert With Special
Guest(s)............” The additional musicians performing with Mr. Parker shall not receive billing.
No opening act shall perform for more than 30 minutes without prior consent from the artist.

3. INTERVIEWS: A formal interview request must be submitted to Brian Foisy 408-529-6388.


4. PUBLICITY: Purchaser shall only use photos and biographical material supplied by Artist or his
representative.
5. ADVANCING:Technical and transportation questions shall be addressed with Brian Foisy at 408-529-6388
who will advise as in these related matters.

2. Artist Compensation

1. TICKETS: All tickets shall be printed by a bonded ticket house, or the off cial printing department of
the college or university for school engagements. Purchaser agrees to provide ten (10) complimentary
tickets for Artist in prime location. An additional twenty (20) tickets in prime location should be held for
purchase by Artist. Said tickets will be paid for or released a minimum of fourteen (14) days prior to the
concert.
2. COVERED STAGE: Except where specif ed all performances will be held indoors. For outdoor
performances Artist must occupy a COVERED STAGE and neither indoor nor outdoor performances
shall be subject to cancellation due to the weather.

3. Photos and Recording

1. NO PHOTOS shall be taken of the Artist in concert or at the venue without written permission.
2. NO VIDEOS may be recorded of the Artist in concert or at the venue without written permission.
3. NO AUDIO RECORDINGS may be made of the Artist in concert or at the venue without written
permission.
4. Ray Parker Jr. reserves the right to videotape the performance as well as contract a local photogra-
pher to document the event.
4. Liquor
Purchaser shall be liable for any liquor sold to under-age ticket-holders.
5.Transportation
1. RENTAL CAR: Purchaser shall 1-2 full sized rental vans (seating at least 8 people each) for the
exclusive use of the Artist and his associates upon arrival through departure. Artist representative

will make rental arrangements for this vehicle and will be reimbursed by purchaser.

2. AIRLINE TICKETS: If airline tickets become part of this agreement they will be purchased by the
Purchaser through the Artist’s travel agent. No free f ight vouchers may be used. Only purchased
tickets with valid boarding passes are acceptable and shall be coordinated with Raydio Music Corp.

3. DIRECTIONS: Purchaser agrees to provide Ray Parker’s personal representative with typed direc-
tions from the airport to the hotel and from the hotel to the venue as required, forwarded 2weeks prior
to play date.

6. Lodging
Purchaser shall provide and pay for seven (7) rooms and one (1) suite in a quality hotel one. Accom-
modations to be approved by Brian Foisy 408-529-6388. Purchaser shall PRE-REGISTER Artist
and his party and see to it that room keys and forms are ready at the front desk upon arrival. Often,
Artist and his party may arrive earlier than normal check-in time. Purchaser will arrange for an early
check-in time with the hotel.

7. Dressing Room
Purchaser shall provide one (1) large room, able to be locked and set up to coincide with Mr. Parker’s
arrival at the venue.This room shall have bathroom facilities off the hallway and be large enough to
accommodate f ve (5) people comfortably.

8. Drinks and Cuisine


1. A catered dinner choice of f sh, chicken or pasta with rolls, bread and condiments for sandwiches
2. Hot coffee with milk and sugar
3. Bottled water
4. Bottle of Remi Martin or Hennessy
5. Assorted raw and unsalted nuts

9. Indemnification
A. Purchaser agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Performers, their employees, contractors and
agents from and against any claims, costs, damages, liabilities, losses and judgments (including attor-
ney’s fees and legal costs) arising out of or in connection with any claim or demand of action made by
any third party sustained as a direct or indirect consequence of the engagement. Purchaser shall also
indemnify Performers against any and all loss, damage and/or destruction occurring to the equipment at
the venue belonging to Performers, their employees, contractors or agents including, but not limited to
acts of God.

B. Purchaser agrees to provide Artist with a CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE proving the following:

1. Artist added as additional name insured.


2. Comprehensive general liability insurance as required by the venue but in no event less than
$1,000,000.00 coverage combined single limit for bodily injury and property damage. No less than
one million dollars coverage.

3. Insurance shall also provide public liability insurance coverage to protect against injury to persons or
property as a consequence of any activity related to the equipment at the venue provided by the
Performers and their employees, contractors and/or agents. In addition it is agreed that the
Purchaser shall have in effect a policy of Workman’s Compensation covering all of Performer’s
employees involved in any way whatsoever with the equipment provided by the Performer and their
employees, contractors and/or agents.The purchaser further agrees to provide full insurance
coverage for all equipment provided by the Performers and their employees, contractors and/or
agents against any act of damage which might happen during the time period that the artist and his
equipment occupy the venue. Purchaser shall supply Performers or their representative with an
acceptable certif cate of insurance one (1) week prior to performance date. Failure to provide such
a certif cate does not imply that purchaser does not remain completely responsible for such
insurance. Purchaser agrees that he/she is solely responsible for this insurance coverage.

10. Miscellaneous
1. SOUND CHECK: Artist shall be available at mutually agreed upon date and time. A 4:00 PM
sound check should be scheduled on the day of the performance for a normal 8:00 PM show.
Promoter may change this if circumstances warrant. Artist will remain at the venue until show
time.

2. MERCHANDISE: Mr. Parker may or may not sell merchandise. It will be mailed to the theatre
prior to the show.
3. AUTOGRAPHS: Mr. Parker will be available to sign autographs at the conclusion of the perform-
ance. Usually, autographs are not done if merchandise is not sold.

1. JBL, EAW, Apogee Sound, Inc., Ramsa, Meyer or equivalent (3 or 4 way stereo) full range active
system suff cient to provide clean undistorted reinforcement to entire audience seating area (due to
the dynamics of the show the system must be silent running).

2. Mixing console (minimum 24 channel with phantom power)


3. Two 1/3 octave graphic equalizers
4. One Quality digital reverb - Rev7/AMS (or equivalent)

V. Lighting
One (1) follow spot operator and riggers, as required by the house lighting system. Lighting director is to
create effective lighting to suit the mood of the songs.

VI. Labor
Purchaser agrees to provide two (2) stagehands/loaders for SETUP and BREAKDOWN of all equip-
ment
furnished by Ray Parker Jr. or furnished by the Purchaser as per this rider.

VIII. Personnel
Ray Parker Jr. carries 6 Musicians in addition to himself: Elec. Bass, Piano, Keyboards, Saxophone/
Backing Vocals and Drums. Please have any and all necessary tools for the proper servicing of equip-
ment, as well as back up equipment, should there be failures at sound check or during the show. Also,
please have at the ready, replacement equipment, or contact phone numbers, in case of a equipment
failure during show or sound check.

THIS RIDER IS THE ONLY RIDER WHICH IS VALID AND SUPERSEDES ALL OTHERS WHILE,
UPON BEING SIGNED BY BOTH PARTIES, BECOMES A CONTRACT IN AND OF ITSELF AND
WHEN COUPLED WITH THE FACING PAGE, CONSTITUTES THE COMPLETE AGREEMENT.
