About The Department

Civil Engineering involves planning, designing and executing structural works. The profession
deals with a wide variety of engineering tasks including designing, supervision and
construction activities of public works like roads, bridges, tunnels, buildings, airports, dams,
water works, sewerage system, ports, etc. and offers a multitude of challenging career
opportunities. The course curriculum includes the study of all the basic engineering sciences
and is designed to introduce students to a variety of problems encountered by civil engineers
such as structures, foundation, construction, hydraulics and environmental engineering,
sewerage works management and costing, transportation engineering, irrigation engineering,
etc.

Vision of the Department

The vision of the Department of Civil Engineering is to achieve unique identity by development
of knowledge resources and highly competent Civil Engineers in various fields of Civil
Engineering to meet local, national, and global economic and social needs.

Mission of the Department

The mission of the Department of Civil Engineering is to create knowledge resources and to
educate and train youths in the latest technologies in Civil Engineering, to imbibe in them
human values, self confidence and independent thinking in tackling diverse problems in the
field of Civil Engineering so that they can serve the country and the human society at large.

Departmental Level Board of Accreditation in the month of June
2017.

2. One faculty submits his Ph.D. thesis and will be
