A1. Revision:
I. The Past simple.

II. Wish – sentence: Express the actions which aren't true at the present.
1. Present wish: (ước muốn ở hiện tại): Động từ của mệnh đề đứng sau “wish” hoặc
“If only”dùng thì quá khứ giả định
S + wish = If only (Ước gì)
S + wish (es) + S + V2/ Ved/ WERE

-> Be: WERE dùng cho tất cả các ngôi

EX . I wish I studied very well.


I wish I had a lot of money.
I wish(If only) I were a good student.

2. Future wish : (Mơ ước ở tương lai): Động từ của mệnh đề đứng sau “wish” dùng
thì tương lai trong quá khứ

S + wish (es) + S + would/ could/ should/ might + Vo

EX . I wish I would study very well.


I wish I might go on atrip with my friends
I wish I could speak English well
3. Past Wish (ước muốn ở quá khứ): Động từ của mệnh đề đứng sau “wish” dùng thì
quá khứ hoàn thành

S + wish (ed) + S + had + V3/Ved

EX : I wish I had studied well last year.


I wish I hadn’t got a bad mark yesterday.
I wish I had been there last night
Note: Coù 3 daïng baøi taäp vôùi “Wish”
1. Chia ñoäng töø trong ngoaëc: (haï baäc thì)
* Töùc hieän taïi chia thì quaù khöù.
* Töông lai: Can -> Could
Will -> would.
Ex She wishes She (be) would be in London next year.
* Quá khứ chia quá khứ hoàn thành
2. Vieát laïi caâu vôùi “Wish”: Haï baäc thì traùi theå.
- Hieän taïi -> Quaù khöù.
Töông lai can -> could
- Neáu ngöôøi ta phuû ñònh thì mình xaùc ñònh vaø ngöôïc laïi.
Ex: I’m sorry. I don’t wait for untill 8’
-> I wish I waited for untill 8’.
III. To be impressed by/ because of + noun or verb-ing.
Examples: I am impressed by the beauty of your country.
Or she is impressed by going shopping.

A2- Revision:
1. The Past tense with used to .
* S + used to + V: §· tõng/ Thêng lµm g× trong qu¸ khø mµ b©y giê kh«ng lµm n÷a.
I used to live in Nha trang when I was six.
* S + be/ get + used to + N/ V.ing : Quen dÇn víi/ ThÝch nghi víi.
I am used to getting up early.
I am used to cold weather.
* To be accustomered to + N/ Ving.
2. Pronunciation V-ed.
Có 3 cách phát âm đuôi ‘-ed’ là:  /ɪd/ , /t/ hay /d/.
‘ed’ sẽ được đọc là /t/ (vô thanh) hoặc /d/ (hữu thanh) phụ thuộc vào âm kết thúc của
động từ là âm vô thanh hay âm hữu thanh.
* Âm vô thanh: Dây thanh quản ngừng rung khi âm vô thanh được phát ra
* Âm hữu thanh: Dây thanh quản tiếp tục rung khi đó
1. ‘ed’đọc là /t/:
Nếu một từ kết thúc bằng một âm vô thanh thì ‘ed’ sẽ được đọc theo cách vô thanh,
nghĩa là /t/
Cụ thể, những từ kết thúc bằng các âm: /ʧ/, /s/, /k/, /f/, /p/, /θ/, /∫/ (cách
nhớ: chợ xa cà phê phải thiếu sữa) thì ‘ed’ sẽ được đọc là /t/
Ví dụ: watched /wɒtʃt/, missed /mɪst/ ,…
2. ‘ed’ sẽ được đọc là /d/: Nếu một từ kết thúc bằng một âm hữu thanh thì ‘ed’ sẽ
được đọc theo cách hữu thanh, nghĩa là /t/
Ví dụ: lived /lɪvd/, allowed /əˈlaʊd/
3. ‘ed’ đọc là /ɪd/
Một động từ tận cùng bằng /t/ hay /d/ thì ‘ed’ sẽ được đọc là /ɪd/.
Tại sao lại như vậy? Vì một chữ đã tận cùng là 't' và 'd' (hai trường hợp trên) thì chúng ta
không thể đọc là 't' hoặc 'd' được bởi lẽ người nghe sẽ rất khó nhận biết hơn nữa khó có
thể đọc 2 âm 't' hoặc 2 ân 'd' kế bên nhau.
Ví dụ: wanted/ˈwɒn.tɪd/ , needed /ˈniː.dɪd/
