Task 2: Recreate a Kandinsky painting with objects from around

your home
Step by step: Examples of recreations of famous artworks
1. Find a Kandinsky image (or section of an
image) that you want to create

2. Have a hunt around the house for


objects that are the shapes and colours
that you could use
3. Find an appropriate back drop for your
composition (grass, paving, carpet,
towel, paper, etc…)
4. Arrange your composition. You may
need to shape and manipulate some of
your objects into the right shapes
5. Photograph your image from above
6. Tidy everything away
Kandinsky example
You can use literally anything you can find,
look for similar colours and shaped objects.
Use: Clothes, food, wrappers, scrap paper,
plastic bags, shoes, scarves, books, toys
etc…

Stretch Challenge: Photograph or video the making of your image to create


a time-lapse of stop motion film.
