Hello English 30-2 class. This week, you will choose to write one of two possible writing assignments from past diploma
exams. One is a persuasive speech or letter, and the other is a literary exploration. Remember, only do one of the two
choices.

Write a persuasive response to a situation presented, or write a response to a question by referring to a literary text.

Activity/Task #1: Write either a Persuasive Response or a Literary Exploration.
Description of Activity or Task: Read the assignments, choose the one you will complete, and write a response of
several paragraphs.
Estimate of Time Required: 2—2.5 hrs.

Also, please consider the following information regarding yearbooks and textbooks:

Grade 12 Yearbook Pickup and Textbook Drop Off

Grade 12 students will return their textbooks and other school property on Monday, June 22. Please come to the rear
door of the school between 10:00-12:00 or 12:30-3:00. Students can pick up their yearbooks once they return their
textbooks. All borrowed chromebooks can also be returned at this time.

Returning school resources is critical because it:

 Supports the learning of students who need the resources next year
 Saves your family the cost of replacement
