1. Whistle blowing is a process in which an employee or former employee exposes
information or activity that are considered illegal or unethical to someone who can act
on the problem. Opinions are divided about it as whistle blowing affects a lot of people
positively as the activities that are done illegally or unethically is or acted upon with the
right authority and whistle blowing also has negative effects as people will lose their
trust in the whistle blower and this will lead to lack of communication with each other
which will result to major problems in projects as there will be very less team work.

2. The best answer would be not to employ either of them knowing that they would
defraud the company but it would be better to employ an outsider because if that
person does defraud the company then without hesitation, I would be able to release
the worker from his post rather than firing a relative as it will have further problem
within the family which can affect me and the company in many ways and to conclude
that we should never involve family with your work.

3. No, he is unethical because he is leaving his job before completion and as the principal
engineer, he is to be there till the new product is completed which he is clearly not
doing. Yes, I will have to accept his offer because there is less time to find a suitable
replacement and if the offer isn’t taken by me very soon then the likelihood of the new
product to finish on time is very slim which could lead to a big disaster and it could
involve the company and the new consultant (me) defamed.

4. Yes, it will be of my affair because placing the two bottles of whiskey could be an act of
bribery to seal the deal with the client and this act is deemed illegal and unethical. This
can also affect me as I was present when this act occurs where I could be seen as to
support this act so the best thing to do is to consult with my senior or report this matter
to the authorities.
