CODA LENGTH

R. Attri Instrumentation Design Series (Seismic), Paper No. 4, Jan 2004

D= Time in Seconds starting from P-wave time to the end of wave up to noise level

CODA MAGNITUDE MD= -0.57 + 1.38 log D + 0.29

RITCHET SCALE
Universally earthquake is measured in Ritchet Scale. RITCHET SCALE MAGNITUDE

log (A / T) + + C

A is amplitude of highest S-wave Peak, T is the time period of the same peak. C is place specific constant

Purpose of Seismic Analysis Software

R. Attri Instrumentation Design Series (Seismic), Paper No. 4, Jan 2004

Seismic Profile Study for ascertaining seimiticity and tendency of a site for major earthquakes Identification of Earthquake prone sites Noise level studies of monitored earth activities Analysis of Industrial and environmental Vibrations Seismological computations to calculate Ritchet Scale, Coda Magnitude and Epicenter Distance Seismic inference and predictions (after coupling with the results of analysis from other methods.)

Features of Software
Easy and fast viewing of the recorded signal and events along-with the auxiliary information. Precise time determination of any event or point of interest with the help of moving cursor. Zooming the low-level signal to full screen to view and analyze the wave-shape of signal closely for Noise level studies. Selecting the desired signal for detailed analysis and observation Picking the time of arrival of P-wave and Swave, which is an important parameter to Computation of epicenter distance, Coda Magnitude, Ritchet Scale and Arrival times of S and P waves.
