GREEN AWARENESS & SUSTAINABILITY IN COMMUNITY

1.0 INTRODUCTION
Green awareness is an activity that protects the environment by reducing pollution.
Malaysia has been facing an environmental pollution. This problem can be solving
through awareness, understanding and practice of the environment. The green awareness
among Malaysian still not enough to boost the deck due to the lack of concern for public
health in Malaysia.
As a result, many environmental issues have arisen. These include urban air quality, river
water quality, deforestation, household waste and hazardous waste. We cannot escape the
effects of a wave of phenomena such as global warming, climate change and greenhouse
effects. Initiatives must be taken to ensure this is not sustainable. Earth is facing many
pollution problems, especially dumping waste into rivers or drains. By organizing such a
mutual aid program, we hope to spread awareness to community about clean and healthy
environment.
Recycle is collecting and separate solid waste to reproduce. It occurs when materials are
processed and produce the same product. From recycle the waste, we can produce new
product. It can be source financial to community. By using social media as the best
platforms, students or community can learn or create how to produce a product by using
recycle material.

2.0 PURPOSE
This proposal is intended to obtain the approval of the activities and financial from the
Prof. Madya Dr. Maegala A/P Nallapan Maniyam, Dean Centre for Foundation and
General Studies UNISEL.

This program is for:
1. To increase understanding of environmental issues.
2. To provide knowledge about recycle.
3. To encourage students and community about maintaining the environment.

This event is to raise green awareness between students and community. Webinar
are combining from ‘Web’ and ‘Seminar’. It can be interpreted as meeting
activities between groups of people.
9.2 Campaign
This event is a campaign activity with family to help create a clean and healthy
environment. Participants must share photos or videos to social media with
#KEEPOURHOMECLEAN #CREATEAWARENESSTOGETHER
9.3 Competition
This event is a competition which is participant must create or produce product by
using recycle materials. Participants must share photos or videos to social media
with #DOITYOURSELF #CREATEAWARENESSTOGETHER. The winner will
be chosen by the creative product they produce.

In conclusion, hoped that management parties will be able to approve all the allocation
for the “Green Awareness Through Social Media”. Hopefully, with this participation this
program will give the benefit to the all parties that involved at once. We wish the
management can consider and approve the proposal for “Green Awareness Through
Social Media” by provide financial assistance for the success of this program. I was very
grateful to say thank you.
