1. Query the U2000 installation path as follows:
a. Choose Start > Run from the local computer where the U2000 is installed, and run
cmd.
b. In the DOS window, run %OSS_ROOT%. For example, the U2000 installation
path is D:\oss.
2. Copy the installation package
OptiX_NetStar_O_M_19.1.110.SPC2_win32_x86_ForU2000V2R18C60SPC501.zip to
the U2000 installation path.
For the NetStar O&M installation package matching different versions of NMS, the packages have
similar installation or upgrade methods. The following takes the NetStar O&M installation package
matching NMS V200R018C60CP5012 as an example.
3. Navigate to the directory for storing the software package, for example D:\oss.
4. If the source version is 7.0.310 or later than 7.0.310, check whether the following files
exist in D:\oss. If yes, delete the files. If no, go to the next step.
− mdsinstall
− netstar_o_m_upgrade.bat
− netstar_o_m_uninstall.bat
− netstar_o_m_install.bat
5. Decompress the installation package as follows: right-click

to the current path.
6. After the decompression, double-click the netstar_o_m_patch.bat file in the U2000
installation path to start upgrading the NetStar O&M.
After patch installation is complete, the following message will be displayed.
For example, if the U2000 is installed in D:\oss, run the following command in the screen that
is displayed:
cd /d D:\oss\server\platform\bin (Press Enter after the command is input.)
stopnms.bat (Press Enter after the command is input. After all processes are ended,
run the next command.)
startnms.bat (Press Enter after the command is input.)
A window is displayed to show the CAU updating process, which takes approximately 3
to 4 minutes.
The window is close after the update is completed, indicating that the CAU
reorganization is successful.
Step 4 Optional: Manually delete the NetStar O&M installation files from the U2000 installation
path.
