I. OBJECTIVE/S: At the end of one period, the students will be able to

determine the classification of salad
according to the place in the meal.

II. SUBJECT MATTER:

Topic: Classification of Salads according to the Place in the
Meal.

Materials/Resources: PC with Speaker, Manila paper, Pentel pen

B. Lesson Proper
1. Activity
a. Activity I – Name of the Salad is a Meal.
Direction/s:
 Classify the names of salad according to its part in the meal.
 Write in a ½ sheet of paper with the number of your groups
and names of the members.
 15 minutes will be allotted for this activity
 Points will be based on the numbers of correct answers.
b. Activity II – Analyze the Salad (Group Activity)
Direction/s:
 Group yourself into 5 with at least 4 members. Get a manila
paper and pentel pen in front, transfer the correct answers in
a manila paper and each member of the group must give
their explanation for each item.
 5 minutes will be allotted for this activity.

4. Application
Direction/s:
 Pick one place in the meal for salad.
 Make a recipe of salad that suite to what you have picked.
 5 minutes will be allotted for this activity.

IV. ASSESSMENT/EVALUATION:
Instruction: classify the following salad according to its part in the
meal:
1. Buko salad
2. Potato salad
3. Pickled salad
4. Fruit salad
5. Chef’s salad

V. ASSIGNMENT/AGREEMENT:
Interview your parent/s/guardian/s what is/are their specialty salad and
what makes it unique. Write your assignment in a ½ sheet of yellow paper
