Summative Assessment Progress Presentation Artistic Intention: In this world, everything is all about point of view. There is no true agreement. There can be agreements in something, just not everything. A different point of view gives different thoughts, perspectives, and feelings. No one has the same point of view. Each perspective is memorized and felt differently. However, different perspectives, ideas, and visions together can come up with a general solution or, most of the times, something new. Just like art. What is not art? Again, everything is about point of view. Anything can be counted as art and indeed it does. I think everybody can think of everything as art. The difference is how is it art to each point of view. Getting an understanding of others’ points of view will also help us understand things differently too. Either it is taken in a positive or negative way. Again, it depends on the point of view. Sharing memories is one way of understanding things with others and understanding their perspective. The personal aesthetic is one part people share. Something memorable can be both emotionally or physically. One of the emotional things many people chose to memorize is if it is a beautiful scene or it gives a valuable lesson. Admiring something beautiful can also be sharing personal aesthetics. This is the main objective of me doing photography. Artistic Intention: I capture moments of my life that I want to remember and keep it for a long time. Other than taking the photos, the other part I enjoy very much is looking back at the photos after a long time. There was once not very long ago. I came back from my CWW trip in 2020. A few weeks after, I opened the file and went through the pictures. I love these particular moments because, for each picture, different flashbacks came up to the top of my head with the feelings I have about those memories. Some memories are not good memories for some. However, my point of view, it can be memorable. I can always be sure that every picture I take intentionally, there is no picture that reminds me of bad memories because if I was in an unhappy situation, I wouldn’t have taken any photos. I don’t know about other people’s objective of taking beautiful photos. I know that mine is that I believe anything can be beautiful. Depending on the point of view and also personal aesthetic. I like to take pictures of anything or anywhere people wouldn’t. I think that with just the perspective and mindset, the beauty of something always shows up. Nothing is ugly. It is the point of view and if you can see the beauty inside it because everything has its own beauty. When I take pictures, I don’t really think much. I would just take it without hesitating. If any thoughts or feelings tell me to take a photo of something, I would do it right away. You can delete it later if it really isn’t it, but you can’t come back to get the same point of view if you didn’t take the picture. Artistic Intention: Other than to remember, photographs can also have another purpose. Photos can be shared with others for many reasons; share a personal aesthetics, share moments of something, or receive feedback, etc. However, some people care if people like their photos or not. I don’t care if people like it or not unless it affects my benefits or damages others. I don’t expect much from anybody who sees my photos. I hope they’d get something out of it from their own point of view and admire the beauty in the objects I display. This unit also has a connection to the latest one. I want to reveal something’s beauty like I try to reveal the beauty of recycled objects. Every time I take pictures, I always let me mind free and just take pictures, literally. It is a free way to truly express your personal aesthetic.
