Check for any water contamination in the fuel filters sight bowls and drain/clean
accordingly.
Drain any water from the diesel tank - close the valve when done.
Check for leaks on the filters, hoses, and connections.
Fill up the diesel tank to 90%, and tighten the filler cap back on.
Check the labelling
Valves
Check that the valve handles are in good condition, and are properly identified.
Check that the valves open and close easily.
Visually check the valves and associated pipe work for leaks.
Pressure Gauges
1. Verify that all gauges are clean, undamaged, and in working order.
2. Check the operation and condition of the valves in the gauge manifold.
3. Check that all P-gauges have been tested within the last 12 months and have a test
sticker.
4. Verify that the liquid level gauge functions OK (verify when empty and full).
Pressure Relief Valves (PRV's)
Verify that all PRV’s have a valid test date and the correct settings.
Test the operation of the main PRV (close the road relief valve, and open the
vaporizer line to build up pressure in the tank; the PRV should relieve pressure not
more than PRV setting + 10%).
Check to ensure that the PRV’s are not frozen up with ice.
Check the condition of the PRV’s suction/discharge lines.
Air Systems
Check air supply (90-110 psi) - gauges okay & check for audible leaks
Drain all air reservoirs/tanks until clean, close drain valve
Air hoses, piping, valves & actuators - no damage/leaks, valves work ok
PRV/Tank Certifications - check inspection date and tag
Road Valve
Verify that the PRV has a valid test date and that the setting is correct.
Test the operation of the road valve.
Confirm that the road relief valve remains open during transport and that there is a
sign posted: "Do not close during transport".

Visually check the unions (M and F) for damage and cleanliness.
Check that the seal rings (copper/Teflon) are present in the connections with spares
available.
Check the hose carriers (if present) for damage, that they are secured, and that the
