Using active planning and utilizing the resources given to plan accordingly has given me the

opportunity to see the importance of a project plan. I have actively stated verbs throughout my
plan to indicate what I will be doing. My tasks are listed accordingly as long with each subtask
for each task. I realized I was doing more subtasks to annotating readings and quizzes. One
subtask I realized I complete throughout my project is having discussions with my husband. I did
not realize this when first initially planning the project plan because it is something that I do
naturally whenever he is around. I notice it helps with my understanding of the material when I
speak out loud about what I have learned. I added this subtask to certain tasks.
Reviewing my peer reviews for my initial project plan help me realize that my subtasks allocated
time were not listed. While working on products I was able to update my project plan as I
completed tasks and subtasks. This allowed for me to understand how much time I was spending
on subtasks. I did notice some subtasks were completed faster than planned, this allowed me to
notice other subtasks I added like having discussions with my husband. Actively planning my
tasks allowed for doable tasks to be completed each day and if something occurred that stopped
me from completing my product, I was able to adjust accordingly.
In reviewing my peer reviews, I also came across uncomplete contingency planning. My
contingency plans were a challenge. I believe this to be true because I am in a constant routine
with my life. I plan homework around my work and life. I have yet to have any issues with my
laptop, but I know this is a contingency within my plan that may occur. Actively planning
contingencies made me realize I have had lots of contingencies in the past and I would plan
accordingly but having them listed makes it easier to have the contingency plan ready.
