ABOUT CIVIL ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT, VBIT
The Department of Civil Engineering which was established in
2011 is headed by a qualified and highly experienced professor
supported by specialists and well qualified faculty. The
department functions with a primary goal of imparting a sound
mix of theory and practical knowledge in the fundamentals added
by recent technological developments in Civil Engineering. The
department has state of the art facilities for various laboratories
and classrooms to support e- learning. The department has the
latest lab equipment encouraging and supporting continuous
research activities, Design and modelling software labs with
additional value added programs where the students can enhance
their knowledge to meet the global requirements.
ABOUT FDP
The FDP is aimed for Research Scholars and Faculty from
State/Central/Private Universities, Engineering Colleges and
Industry personnel. The main objective of this FDP is to
disseminate the knowledge on the performance of structures
subjected to seismic, wind, blast and impact loadings. Various
materials used, techniques adopted, simulation procedures, case
studies of structures subjected to extreme loading will be
discussed in detail.
