Insulation With Decoration – Product Introduction 2

Acoustica is a wall covering meant to create a quieter ambience and is built to exceed the most stringent
standards required for coating the walls of auditoriums, cinemas, public buildings, meeting rooms, schools,

c
restaurants and offices.

~acoustica~
The superior features and performance guarantee sound insulation, absorption, echo reduction, as well as

o strength, durability, convenience and security. These features make Acoustica ideal for both residential and
domestic use.

n Acoustica meets the requirements of creating a correct reflection of sound resonance, improving or
correcting the effects of architectural acoustics. Acoustica has successfully met the test of 'Ecological
European Standard (EN 12149 ‐ ISO 6401 ‐ EN 717‐3 ‐ EN 713). It generates an absorption of 30/60% of
c midrange ‐ 250/2000htz.

c Q MAINTENANCE
Acoustica can be washed using a mild soap or detergent dissolved in warm water. Rinse with clear water
after washing.
e Q ACOUSTIC COMFORT
Acoustica is a vinyl wall‐covering constructed with differential layers that enable a perfect balance between
p absorption and reflection of sound waves inside a closed area and prevent “echo effects” and stop the sound
waves from outside.

t Q SOUND CORRECTION
Acoustica complies with the requirements of sound reflection by creating a correct resonance and improving

s the acoustic effects inside the room. In other words Acoustica absorbs the “HF” disturbing effects and
increases the purity of audible frequencies by improving their reception.

Q SOUND PROOFING
Acoustica enables a high level, two‐way soundproofing by stopping the noise from outside and preventing
the sounds inside the room from escaping.
Technical Data 6

Q SOUND ABSORPTION
Due to the high level of sound absorption (30 ‐ 60% of MF between 250 & 1000 Hz), Acoustica complies with

c ~acoustica~
standards required in hospitals and schools, etc. The use of Acoustica is recommended in areas with a high
degree of noise where soundproofing is indispensable. The surface sound reflection (point 2) of Acoustica
prevents the “echo effect” (prolonged resonance) and enables the acoustic correction of areas where sound

i auditorium,

f rooms, theatres,

discotheques,

recording rooms, etc. Also in this case the exceptional soundproof property of Acoustica eliminates noises
coming from outside.

n Q TESTS
Tests carried out by International Electro technical Institute GALILEO FERRARIS in Torino Italy, proved good
c sound absorption properties, at the frequencies of a conversation as defined by the “S.I.L.” standard (Speech
Interference Level), between 500 and 2000 Hz.

e Q SECURITY AND HYGIENE

Acoustica is fire rated Class 1 ‐ M 1‐ Resistant to microorganisms. It has high resistance to chemical attacks
and is perfectly washable with water and household detergents.

Q COST‐EFFICIENT AND EASY TO HANG

covering A perfectly primed wall is always
necessary since the cushioning effect of Acoustica will not absorb minor unevenness. Reverse hang, double
cut, random match.
