PSP Resin Container (vat) Handling Instructions

 Before using the PSP Resin Container

Please remove the bottom protective film outside the container before printing. Please also remove the
protective film for the front and back Acrylic walls

 Regarding the Teflon sheet

Avoid warpage near the corners and edges of the film is the only way to prevent resin
from getting underneath the Teflon film.

In case the film is lifted off and the silicone underneath is not damaged, please check with us about repairing
the vat.
Also please note that the build platform needs to be parallel to the PSP and touches the vat slightly– or else the
platform can press onto a corner of the PSP.
Using a small build platform will decrease the chance of lifting off the film, as a smaller platform won’t press on
the corners of the film.

 Inspect Z-Zero for a New PSP Resin Container

When switching to another resin container, you must check the Z zero again to avoid model dropping. The
silicone thickness may have some variations.

 How to extend the lifetime of the PSP resin container

1. Prevent the model from dropping to the floor.

a) Overexpose the attachment layers.

b) Avoid weak structures between your build platform and large cross-sectional structure. The separation
force may tear the print apart.
c) Make sure you have enough lifting height for all layers. If the front of the vat is lifted over 3mm, you may
consider lowering your lifting speed. If the front of the vat is lifted over 7mm, the vat may be damaged.
Please lower the lifting speed when the vat drops at a height over 3mm.
d) Teflon film does not bond to the silicone permanently. If the printing continues after the model drops,
subsequent shrinkage of the dropped model will distort the film and may leave a gap between the film
and silicone. This happens mostly if you have a print dropping near the edges or corners of the film. If
you stop the printing shortly after the model drops, you can save the resin container.

2. If possible, avoid printing repeated patterns in the same area. Bubbles may appear after Teflon is severely
warped. When a bubble finds its way out, the resin will enter and Teflon film will be lifted off the silicone.

3. Lowering your lifting speed help extend the lifetime of the Teflon film. We recommend start with a
conservative 15mm/m for your first model. You can tune up later if necessary.

4. Using the front and back Acrylic to hold the container. Sidewalls may be detached from the vat or Silicone if
stressed.

5. Wipe out the residual at the corners right away after recycling the resin.

6. Do not leave your resin in the container for more than two days. If you do not recycle the resin, it is OK not
to clean up the resin but the container must be stored in a dark area. We recommend store it in its original
box.
