understand the concerns pertaining to the problem statement and providing all the relevant

Industry Background:
India is the largest exporter of IT services in world economy. In domestic market India has
shown robust growth year on year basis. As of 2006, IT services accounts for 40% of country’s
GDP and 30% of export earnings as of 2006. ^2. Indian IT companies have around 1000 Global
delivery centers around the world. India is hub of technical capabilities with over 75% of global
digital talent belong to India.
The market size of IT services has grown to US$181 Billion in 2018-19. Export from IT
industry to world IT market amounts to US$ 137 and domestic revenues amounts to US$44
Billion in FY19. Spending in IT is expected to grow over 9% to US$ 87.1 Billion. ^3
As the Industry is growing to compete and differentiate against competitors in India,
Organization needs structural changes. Taking account into this factor Yash technology wanted
to reform its competencies and we were given opportunity to define competencies for Job Family
software Development, Human Resources, Finance and accounts and behavioral competencies.
Before going into insights on developing these competencies we need to know about its
existing structure and vision and mission and core values. The existing structure assist in
developing approach to formalizing competencies. Mission and vision help to keep the newly
developed competencies aligned with the values and culture of Yash Technology. Core values
helps the organization integrated towards achieving Ultimate goal of Yash Technologies.

Talent Management Process at Yash Technologies.

Competencies:
Competencies for Yash technologies is knowledge, skills and abilities, described in behavior
terms that are coachable, observable, measurable and critical to successful individual or
corporate performance. Competencies when accurately identified and utilized forms one of the
most powerful tool for any organization to meet its business goals. It is defined and developed
via process of defining roles and responsibilities and setting performance goals. Roles and
responsibilities define what needs to be done being part of Yash technologies work force.
Performance goals is set to define what expected of employees to deliver and in the process of its
effective competencies are developed for employees.
Yash Technologies has broadly categorized competencies into two categories
A. Technical/ Functional: This represents the skill set, knowledge and training which
makes an employee to execute any task assigned to him.
B. Behavioral Competencies: These are soft behavioral attributes which indicates the
way in which job responsibilities should be carried in the organization. For Yash
technologies, it is utmost important that employees display behavior which are
focused toward mission and vision of companies and at the same time core values are
tightly integrated within each manner of employees. Given below is the
representation of framework of job description in Yash Technologies.
Proficiency: Proficiency is level of competency possessed by any employees. In any
organization every employee needs to have certain level of proficiency at his/her job level. It
enables organization to differentiate between two employees. Design awards and recognition. It
also helps to define road map for career progression of employees. Yash Technologies have
their own proficiency level framework defined which helps them set career goals for employees
and assign role and responsibilities. It also helps them in talent acquisition process.

Existing job proficiency level in Yash Technologies

Job Families: Job Families are set of related job titles combined together based on skill,
knowledges, abilities and functional similarities. It enables role clarity in the organization and
efficient supervision of employees. It provides trajectory from lower to highest job roles. It helps
to defines boundaries for proficiency and competency level and subsequent mapping of them.
Yash Technology being a large organization has fourteen job families and each job family has
different sub-unit under it. The diagram given below has information on existing job families in
