A Letter from Angela,

continued from page 1

That morning we are all in-

vited to participate in one of
the three “Run to Remember”
events: a one-mile fun run, five
-kilometer run or a 13.1 mile
half marathon.
Many in our community will
help pay tribute at the “Rock
the Hood” Celebration on
Sadowski Field. This event
features a carnival, kids activi-
ties and 11 musical acts from
6 musical genres performing
on 2 stages. Entertainers
lined up for “Rock the Hood”
include Puddle of Mudd, Elvis
Crespo, Flyleaf, Chris Cagle,
Rev Theory, Rhema Marvanne,
Nas and the 1st Cavalry Salsa
Band.
As we enjoy our holiday
traditions and count our per-
sonal blessings, I challenge
each of us to pay tribute to
the sacrifices made by our
resilient community.
Whether you take part in the
“Run to Remember,” “Rock
the Hood,” or honor the sac-
rifices in your own way, No-
vember in the Fort Hood
Community will always mean a
bit more. Among my bless-
ings, I count living in this
amazing community with so
many that give so much.

October Luncheon

The October Luncheon was a great success!

An excellent lunch was provided by Let Us
Do The Cooking, followed by an inspirational
and tear-filled talk by guest speaker LTC
Karcher, who focused on his wife’s resiliency
during his medical crises. Afterwards COL
Robena gave an overview of the Resiliency
Campus. Following a walking tour of the
gym, spa, pond, and childcare facility, we
ended the afternoon at the Spiritual Fitness
Center. If you weren’t able to join us, go to
the Resiliency Center for more information
on all the wonderful services they provide.
