FREE CONDOM DISTRIBUTION PH

INTRODUCTION

Condom is a contraceptive that protects the male and

female during sexual intimacy to avoid the transfer of virus that
causes HIV/AIDS. The increasing case of HIV virus is the
reason why Department of Health (DOH) decided to distribute
CONTENT condom especially to the public schools of Senior High School.
That’s why they give condom to Senior High School to prevent
the increasing number of people who have HIV cases.
INTRODUCTION
The condom that will be given by the DOH to the Senior High School student is free but
there are several conditions that DOH reckons. They must confess that they are active in sex

there must have parental consent and guidance. This program will be implemented next
year as the DOH said.

BACKGROUND

Implementing this program is not easy because there is still the need of consideration.
There are the things that they must consider the approvement of religious sector, parents and
the highest political position. The possible outcomes in distributing condom seem that the
Department of Education’s decision to have condoms distributed at schools will have a positive
and negative impact on pupils. And also the religious sector is against this program because
they said that it is not the effective way in decreasing the HIV/AIDS cases and even in
decreasing the population. They are transgressing against the law of God. Some parents think
that they used to pursue their children in those awful things. And some people said that the
condom is useless if it has a hole then it is possible that the virus will spread out in some
different parts of the body. There are some cases that might happen if this program will be
implemented. Likewise, when a child confess to the DOH if ever, there is possibility that when
everybody privy his/her secret there are some instances that they will mock, bully, discriminate
or even hate them. It will suck to every student to be in these ways. DOH must consider many
things that need to follow in order to accomplish this things.

CONCLUSION

Nowadays, teenagers are too aggressive in pre-marital sex and have lack of sex
education so they do not know the effects of it. Instead of giving condoms to senior high student
DOH should pursue first the sex education so students will have knowledge about the effects of
HIV/AIDS. The DOH may conduct a program participate by both parents and students of senior
high about HIV/AIDS and related issues like pre-marital sex. Students together with their
parents or guardian will talk about pre-marital sex and the effects of it so the consciousness will
be terminated. There are other alternative ways than giving condom like DOH must widens its
campaign about increasing HIV/AIDS cases in the Philippines so every people in our country
will have enough information. Not all condoms will cause a positive effect in every student. It will
possibly cause some rare diseases so we should not take any harmful things that will cause our
life. It is better we just don’t try it than to regret it.
