Director of Alumni Relations and Career Development October 2018 – Present
LSU College of Agriculture and LSU AgCenter, Baton Rouge, Louisiana
 Manage all aspects of the College of Agriculture’s Alumni & Friends Association – triannual board meetings,
membership, volunteer fundraising, outreach/mentoring, and student/faculty engagement
 Chair the COA Undergraduate Scholarship Committee and coordinate the application and awarding process
with students and committee members
 Serve as co-advisor to Les Voyageurs (Ag Ambassadors) by assisting in planning retreats, weekly meetings,
fundraising projects and creating targeted trainings.
 Assist in organizing the LSU Ag Mentoring Program which connects industry leaders and undergraduate
students, providing professional development opportunities
 Teach 1 section of the First Year Seminar course, AGR1001, to address development of foundational college
success skills through the development of a focuses portfolio assessment
 Manage two peer mentors for the AGR 1001 course
 Assist in coordinating the Ag Alumni Lecture Series with two other committee members and student leaders
 Coordinate COA’s annual “Senior Send-off” with assistance from student leaders
 Collaborate with the COA’s Manager of Internships and Student Development on stewarding relationship with
companies and developing new partnerships
 Work with COA alumni and administration to facilitate the annual Awards Reception, which recognizes
donors, alumni, faculty and students
 Promote and coordinate the fundraiser, Cocktails & Cuisine, raising over $20,000 annually
 Organize the annual COA Awards Reception which recognizes donors, alumni, students and faculty
 Plan and implement annual Ag alumni tailgates and socials

understanding of the diversity of the Louisiana agricultural industries

 Identified major prospects for the College of Human Sciences and Education (CHSE)
 Developed and implemented quarterly fundraising objectives and goals
 Collaborated with the Dean, Assistant Deans, Department Directors, and Faculty on development strategies for
the CHSE and each individual school within the CHSE
 Traveled within Louisiana and throughout the United States stewarding and cultivating alumni for major gifts
 Prepared proposals to be submitted to alumni and friends of the CHSE
 Assisted in coordinating a two-day educational seminars, attended by over 1,000 administrators and educators
from eleven states

 Drafted proposals and worked with the LSU Foundation’s legal staff and donor(s) on agreements
 Coordinated and implemented fundraising and stewardship events (e.g., silent auctions, golf tournaments,
awards receptions, and donor recognition ceremonies)
 Collaborated with department heads within the COA on fundraising strategies and alumni relations
 Fielded questions and concerns brought up by the COA’s Advisory Board, alumni, and faculty
 Partnered with the Dean, faculty, and staff on the College of Agriculture’s annual magazine publication
 Served as a focus group member on the LSU Foundation’s computer database management system TAILS
(now called Advance)
