Sub:- G.H.M.C. - Urban Biodiversity - Adoption of parks by the Senior

Functionaries - Certain instructions issued.

L The Hon'ble Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development

Department, Telangana have floated the idea of adoption of a park each by a
Senior Functionaries of the Department. In order to ensure its maintenance.
beautification and development in a proper way. Further, the Hon'ble Minister
himself adopted Krishnakanth Park, Yousufguda. A list of 80 parks adopted by
the Senior Functionaries of the Department is appended herewith.
2. In the regard, all the Hon'ble Public Representatives / respected officers, who
have adopted the colony parks are requested to observe the following practices
for better maintenance and beautification of the parks.
3. Make regular inspections of the adopted park (atleast once in a week).
4. Ensure maintenance of lawns, hedges, trees, shrubbery etc. in the parks.
5. Ensure maintenance of pathways in a proper way.
6. Ensure that the Mali / Malan / Watchman who are the primary caretakers of,the
park are properly functions.
7. Ensure that the time schedule for visitors into the park to be maintained as per
the guidelines.
8. Ensure minimum availability of infrastructure and its proper maintenance and
protection.
g. Assess the requirement of park in due consultation with the most frequent users
and propose.

10. Innovative ideas for beautification of the park.

11 . Ensure proper protection of the park from any sort of encroachment.
