Course Description
A Level Chemistry builds on ideas and concepts taught at IGCSE. The topics are
made interesting and relevant with an emphasis on real-life chemistry. As students
progress through the course content is revisited developing students’ understanding
and confidence. All the theoretical work is underpinned by practical work that
enables students to improve their understanding of theory and develop important
practical skills.

Term 2
Course Structure
This course will be delivered entirely online through the Google Classroom. You will
use your school email account to login to the Google Classroom. If you forget your
email username and password, please contact the school IT Department or
Homeroom Teacher.
In Google Classroom, you will access online lessons, course materials, resources,
and assignments. At the designated time, we will participate in a blend of self-paced
and group-paced activities using Zoom and/or alternative video conference tools.
Attendance will be recorded!

Viewing Grades
Points you receive for graded activities will be posted to the Edunav system.
Participation
Students are expected to participate in all online activities assigned.
Complete Assignments
All assignments must be completed by the assignment due date and time. Late or
missing discussion assignments will affect the student’s grade.
Office Hours
There will be open-discussion for topics you may find difficult on the office hours
assigned. This discussion will be online. Monday to Friday at 14.00 – 15.00.
The discussion link will be posted in Google Classroom. Check your Google
Classroom routinely!
