Service Terms

• WARRANTY REPAIRS: IN THE CASE OF A PROBLEM COVERED UNDER THE PRODUCT WARRANTY OR UNDER A
STATUTORY CONSUMER GUARANTEE, THE PROBLEM WILL BE REMEDIED AT NO CHARGE. TO CHECK WHAT IS
COVERED UNDER THE WARRANTY, PLEASE REFER TO THE DOCUMENTATION SUPPLIED WITH YOUR NINTENDO
PRODUCT. PRODUCT WARRANTIES CAN ALSO BE VIEWED ON OUR WEBSITE AT
WWW.NINTENDO.COM.AU/WARRANTY

• NON-WARRANTY REPAIRS: IN THE CASE OF A PROBLEM NOT COVERED UNDER THE PRODUCT WARRANTY OR
UNDER A STATUTORY CONSUMER GUARANTEE, YOU WILL RECEIVE A QUOTE FOR A REPAIR CHARGE TO RESTORE
THE GOODS TO FULL WORKING CONDITION.

• APPRAISAL CHARGE: PLEASE BE AWARE THAT AN APPRAISAL CHARGE WILL APPLY (A) IF YOU REJECT THE REPAIR
QUOTE OR (B) IF THE SPECIFIED FAULT CANNOT BE DIAGNOSED AFTER THE PRODUCT UNDERGOES A FULL
DIAGNOSTIC TEST. THE APPRAISAL CHARGE COVERS ADMINISTRATION AND LABOUR INVOLVED IN ASSESSING THE
PRODUCT.

• PAYMENT OF THE REPAIR CHARGE OR APPRAISAL CHARGE (AS APPLICABLE) MUST BE RECEIVED IN FULL PRIOR TO
THE COMPLETION OF ANY REPAIR AND THE GOODS BEING DISPATCHED BACK TO YOU.

• ALL REPAIRS WILL BE COVERED BY THE RELEVANT PRODUCT WARRANTY.

• DURING REPAIR ALL HARDWARE WILL BE UPDATED TO THE CURRENT FIRMWARE VERSION. THIS MAY RESULT IN
UNAUTHORISED PRODUCTS AND/OR SOFTWARE TO NOT OPERATE WITH THE NINTENDO PRODUCT.

• REPAIRS MAY RESULT IN THE LOSS OF USER DATA INCLUDING SAVE DATA. NINTENDO RECOMMENDS BACKING UP
YOUR USER DATA IF YOU HAVE THE MEANS TO DO SO, SUCH AS SAVING NINTENDO 3DS/2DS DATA TO AN SD CARD,
OR USING THE SAVE DATA CLOUD SERVICE FOR NINTENDO SWITCH DATA IF YOU HAVE A NINTENDO SWITCH
ONLINE SUBSCRIPTION.

• GOODS PRESENTED FOR REPAIR MAY BE REPLACED BY REFURBISHED GOODS OF THE SAME TYPE RATHER THAN
BEING REPAIRED. REFURBISHED PARTS MAY BE USED TO REPAIR THE GOODS.

• NINTENDO RESERVES THE RIGHT UNDER THE VICTORIAN DISPOSAL OF UNCOLLECTED GOODS ACT 1961, TO
DISPOSE OF GOODS LEFT UNCOLLECTED FOR A PERIOD GREATER THAN 90 DAYS TO RECOVER COSTS.

• NINTENDO AUSTRALIA PTY LIMITED (NINTENDO) COLLECTS INFORMATION FROM YOU FOR REPAIR PROCESSING
AND IDENTIFICATION PURPOSES. NINTENDO MAY DISCLOSE THE INFORMATION TO ITS RELATED COMPANIES OR
ORGANISATIONS, WHICH PROVIDE SERVICES TO NINTENDO BUT WILL ONLY USE THE INFORMATION FOR THE
PURPOSE FOR WHICH IT HAS BEEN COLLECTED. IF YOU DO NOT PROVIDE THIS INFORMATION, NINTENDO MAY
NOT BE ABLE TO PROVIDE YOU WITH THE GOODS OR SERVICES WHICH YOU HAVE REQUESTED. YOU CAN GAIN
