REACTION PAPER
This 3 articles really struck me and gives me learnings, realization that we should stand
in our own feet. Although we are lucky that we didn’t encounter such things by the brutal friars
that all they can do is to sit, gamble, abuse, eat and punishes even though you didn’t do
anything. As shown in Fray Botod, says how the Spaniards acts towards us, slavery and abusive
doings to our country for their own good. If I were to put in this kind of situation, no matter
what happens I will stand on my own feet and fight for the rights and for the country, though
it’s very risky to do it as long as I die not for my own sake but for the peace and the good of our
country, just like what Jose Rizal wrote in Brave Young Women in Malolos , “Return with it, or
on it”. However, I salute to all Philippine heroes that fights for our country against brutal hands
of Spaniards. Upon reading the articles I feel sad and anger, all of us are born with rights and
free-will. We have the rights to fight for what is right, complaint and share our ideas and
thoughts.
Fortunately for me, Jose Rizal wrote the Brave Young Women in Malolos to enlightened:
religious required reason; without reason there was only religiosity. Rizal’s message argued that
women’s value was contingent on their contribution to the Filipino identity, stressing how the
character of motherhood reflected the character of a motherland. Empowering the rights of
women must have the mindset that they’re not only house maidens or house wives but a
woman that can also does what men can do. In particular, reason and affiliation are central to
the capabilities approach, which regards women (and men) as bearers of intrinsic value, helping
identity not only the potential but also the limits of Rizal’s arguments. Current debates
pertaining to individual rights and choice, including those on reproductive rights.
Let’s reflects the love for our country and must consider each situations and see how we
stand, especially us women who’ll become a mother of our own, let us teach our children how
to be responsible and know how to respects others. Let them know what’s right or wrong, for
they will become adults and experience such cruelty and bitterness of life. The desire to
educate them and others to reveal the truth and always have the dignity and will-power to fight
for what is right that will never be paid by any amounts and learn to live an equal and simple
life with respect, peace, love for yourself and for others and most especially have faith to God.
