A Brief History of Uizelian Magick

By
Frater Jon Ciel
In early 2018, I discovered a single name in a quirky modern grimoire called
“The Miracle of New Avatar Power”. The book stated that calling upon Elubatel
could grant one a path to material success, and many online reports suggested that
this was in fact the case. When I performed the basic invocation, which insisted
upon the use of the binding name “Anaphaxeton,” I experienced a degree of energy
from the spirit which I had never perceived from another entity before. Two days
later, an old friend of mine reached out about starting a business that could employ
my services as a magician and diviner for full time wages once it was up and
running. I forgot about Elubatel for some time, and mostly practiced eclectic chaos
magick for my friend’s growing company and watched the results pour in.

Moving forwards to the end of 2018, I was at a point in my meditative and

ritual practice where I felt the need to reach out to my Holy Guardian Angel for
guidance. I began practicing solar rituals in the Golden Dawn methodologies and
the Bornless rite on a daily basis. Early on in this process, I received a name during
solar invocation: Frater Jon Ciel. When I plugged this name into the gematria
calculator at gematrix.org, it returned the value 999. I knew at this point that the
name was going to stick. I later learned that Frater Jon Ciel, “Brother Jon of
Heaven”, and my full name all sum to 9 in gematria. During the continued
operation for HGA contact, I had an intuition telling me to revisit Elubatel and
research his class of entity further. When I did so, I learned that there were eight
known beings in the same class as Elubatel, known offhand as the “Angels of
Omnipotence”.

I shared these names with a magician friend of mine who I had met online
on the platform Discord, and he reported that later that night he had received a
series of “servant” names for the beings. He told me that using the servant names
would make invoking the angels of omnipotence substantially easier and more
stable, and that there was qabalistic/numerological significance to the names in his
brief study of their spellings. He reached out shortly thereafter to report that
invoking all eight angels of omnipotence had led to one of the most powerful
magickal experiences of his life (and 20 some-odd years of practice).

Needless to say, I was intrigued, and decided to explore the new names
myself. I had recently discovered that one of my good friends was a naturally
talented seer, so I intended to work with him to determine the natures of the
individual entities so that practical work could be better delegated and the
information cataloged for posterity.

In late January I met with my seer at his home, told him to grab a notebook
and pen, and to prepare to expand the knowledge base of western esotericism. We
performed the rite in an incredibly bare-bones manner. I had a sheet of paper with
the names handwritten on it, and he had a blindfold to scry with. I performed the
Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram and then began to invoke the spirits one
by one and question them on their nature and office, ask for color correspondences,
and have my seer draw sigils for each being. Starting with Elubatel, who
introduced himself as the ruler of earth and mineral wealth, soil, decomposition,
and the dead, we invoked all eight entities back to back, cataloging their natures.

Upon the invocation of the eighth entity, my seer announced with a resonant
and deep voice uncharacteristic of his normal speech that there was a ninth being
present. “There is another here, Uizel.” Uizel described himself as the Green
Angel, and asserted that he was both an autonomous entity and an amalgamation of
the energies of the other eight beings. He announced that we would begin to
receive a complete system for invoking him and the entities related to him, and that
our understanding of what he was and what his relationship to our consciousness
was would change greatly as we progressed through different stages of gnosis.

In the following days, many synchronistic events related to Uizel’s

symbolism occurred. The document posted to Discord containing the original
listing of 9 beings had 999 in its URL twice, against 1:520,833 odds, and when I
asked Uizel if the sum of his name in gematria was 54 or 55, I saw a license plate
with “999999” ten minutes later. My seer’s DnD dice, which he had ordered in
blue and silver, arrived bearing Tulatu’s colors of gold and green, reflecting this
entity’s rulership over numbers and probability. My seer also invoked Labusi to
locate a rare lost tarot deck in his home, and not only found it within minutes after
having searched for months prior, but was gifted extremely pure drugs later that
day, which also fell within Labusi’s domain.

As I continued to work with the system, more and more names began to
appear in my consciousness, and working with my seer revealed that they were
four beings linked to the cardinal directions which had much higher levels of
energy than the traditional archangels, and less of a moral bent. We discovered that
each being had a tarot correspondence, and that there was a 5-dimensional (or
rather nested 4D, or 4.5D) arrangement for all 22 tarot trumps that culminated in a
totally balanced center. Two stellated octahedrons, or merkabah, each with a ruler
at the center, were the primary geometric plans behind the system. Uizel ruled the
court of The Sun, which represented the macrocosmic manifestation of reality.
Athatzas ruled the court of The Moon, which represented the reflection of that
reality into the experiential self. The system continues to expand into the minor
arcana of the tarot to this day, and is not complete.
