- Introduction: Organise
students into groups

Students will get into groups and
listen to instructions about how
the lesson will proceed.
The class will be tested on their
ability to classify both natural and
human features of the
environment. The activity will be a
completion to see which group
can list the most features from an
area in the school and classify
them correctly.
In the first part of this lesson,
students will be organised into
groups of 3. Each group will come
up with a group name and write it
in their books. The teacher will
also write the names on the
board.
The teacher will then instruct
students that they will be going
outside to test their knowledge
about natural and human features
of the environment. The teacher
will give a piece of chalk to each
group and explain that they are to
draw a table on the concrete with
columns for natural and human
features.

check student answers to see if
they have been classified properly
and checking to see which group
has the most features in their
table.

the feature that the teacher calls

The teacher will ask the students
to go inside 10 minutes before the
bell to go over the activity.
