NARRATIVE REPORT ON
THE CONDUCT OF SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL WORK IMMERSION

I. INTRODUCTION
The Work Immersion Program is one of the course requirements for graduation.
A SHS student has to undergo Work Immersion in a business organization or
establishment with work requirements related to the specialization.
Work Immersion is a part of the Senior High School Curriculum wherein the students
will spend 80 hours in doing actual work or Hands –on experience.

II. ORIENTATION ON DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES OF PERSONNEL


Aligned with the DO No. 30 s 2017, that the successful implementation of work
immersion will depend on the strong collaboration, support, and commitment of the school
personnel and partner institution. Thus, Mrs. Rochelle C. Palapuz, the OIC guided and
elaborated the duties and responsibilities of work immersion teacher and Focal Person they are
going to exercise in the immersion program dated Novemeber

III. PRE-IMMERSION
On November 21, 2019, the conduct of pre-immersion has been accomplished. This
pre-immersion is a parent and student’s orientation in work immersion to orient them on the
background of the program. It was started with a prayer led by Wendell Mauricio followed by an
invocation led by Jemaimah Aves, both grade-12 students. The program was opened by Mrs.
Evelyn Serafica being the Grade 12 Adviser in behalf of Mrs. Rochelle Palapuz, the OIC who
had attended an urgent meeting held on the District.
The students were oriented by Ms. Hannae Alyza Pascua, the SHS Focal Person on
the work immersion venue, the duration of the activity and the list of task and activities that the
student should perform in the field. This includes the agreement of the parents on the said
activity. The rules and regulations on the work immersion was delivered by Mrs. Evelyn
Serafica, the work-immersion teacher. She also guides the parents in the accomplishment of
Parental consent and non-disclosure agreement.
The final discussion is the Preparation of Portfolio and resume. This will guide the
student on what will be documented on the work immersion proper.
The pre-immersion program was then successfully ended by the agreement of parents,
students and teachers and with the excitement of students to have their work immersion.

IV. IMMERSION PROPER


On December 2, 2019, the students were deployed by Mrs. Evelyn Serafica and Ms.
Hannae Alyza Pascua in their work immersion venue at the Local Government of San Isidro.
The students attended the flag ceremony and were gladly acknowledges their presence and the
training program they have to be done. Afterwards, they were deployed in different departments
such as Office of the Administration, Office of the Social Welfare and Development and Office
of the Civil Registrar. They were oriented in each departments, gave the set of rules and
regulations, and familiarized the students on the nature of activity in the office.
On December 6, 2019, Mrs. Evelyn Serafica and Ms. Hannae Alyza Pascua had their
first visit on the work immersion venue. They talked and discussed with each work immersion
supervisor in the different offices about the activities undertaken by the students. It was nice to
know that the tasks given to them were accomplished on time and with an excellent output. We
had passed the good comments to our OIC and hopeful that these positive comments will
continue until the end of the activity.
On December 9, 2019, Mrs. Evelyn Serafica and Ms. Hannae Alyza Pascua had their
surprise visit on the work immersion venue. The students were doing the task given to them in
the office and they were also extended their efforts on the activity of the Municipality in the
Paskuhan of San Isidro. The students also accomplished their journals on their vacant time.
The teachers gave the student’s performance appraisal to each supervisor and discussed to
them about it.
On December 12, 2019, It was the distribution of certificates and token to the immersion
partners. But, with the month full of activities, the immersion partners asked one-day extension
on student’s immersion to finish some activities on the said venue.
The SHS work immersion proper were done with a fruitful outcomes that the students
may bring back to school and to their future careers.
