LaPlante Sub Plans 10/10/19

Thank you for teaching my classes today. I award the best-behaved class, so please leave me a note as to the BEST
overall class each day. Attendance and sub folder are on my desk. Any new work for students will be on the front
table by the door. Students know to check there when they enter. Any assignments that we have been working on
already should be in the students’ possession. There are extra handouts in their class bins (students know where to
look).

1st Period: AP Physics 1

Students have several assignments that they can be working on. Students should finish their Slinky-spring posters
OR work on the online Spring Constant alternative Lab (both due at the end of the period). Once completed, all
students should complete their Energy Packet to turn in tomorrow.

2nd Period: Study Hall—Room 386

Students will be in Room 386 today. Mrs. Lavin will be the lead teacher today. Please ask her if there are any
questions. Morgan White aides in another class during this hour, but MUST check in first. She is with Ms. Harwell’s
class if anyone comes looking for her with a pass.

3rd Period: Physics

Students need to turn in any missing assignments (labs/valentine’s/etc.). Students must then go to Schoology. They
may use their notes to take part 1 of their Circuits test. Tomorrow will be Part 2 on SchoolNet and I will average the
two parts.

4th Period: AP Physics 1

* See 1st period

6th Period: AP Physics 1

7th Period: Honors Forensics

Students need to turn in their Agglutination Lab. Then they are to work on the Case study packet using Blood groups.
This will need to be turned in tomorrow.

1st Period: AP Physics 1
Students have several assignments that they can be working on. Their Slingshot Angled Projectile labs are due
TODAY. They have been informed of this since Wednesday and should be aware. All labs are to be turned into their
tray when completed. Students also have online assignments on their AP CollegeBoard classroom and SAT practice
on Khan Academy. There is an extra credit assignment in the extra handouts bin as well called “The Physics of Fall
—AP In Class Version” due Tuesday.

2nd Period: Study Hall—Room 386

Students will be meeting in Room 386 this week for their combined study hall. They must have something to work
on or be quiet and respectful to those around them. Morgan White is an aide in another class this hour, but MUST
check in first for attendance before heading to Ms. Harwell’s classroom.

3rd Period: Physics

Students MUST work on the tan/yellow “Newton’s Laws Challenge” WS to be turned into their tray at the end of the
period. Any packets not turned in by the end of the day will earn a ZERO for the assignment. They will then be
working on “The Physics of Fall” activity (all students got them on the field trip or in class yesterday. Extras are in
their bin “Lab/Projects” tab). This is due Tuesday. If students tell you they were collected yesterday, tell them to
check their personal folders in the class handouts bin. Students have a quiz on Newton’s Laws on Tuesday.

7th Period: Honors Forensics

Students have an online practice quiz to complete on Schoology on forensic toxicology. They may use their notes on
this quiz and have two attempts. Students will get the answer key to this quiz Friday after school to use as a study
tool for Tuesday’s test. Students may work on their study guide and cheat sheet once finished with the quiz. An open
discussion on Schoology has been opened for students to collaborate on the free response sample questions.
