"Return on Investment (ROI) and Cost Analysis" Please respond to the following:

Imagine it is your task to calculate ROI for a hypothetical training program. Determine
one key element that would factor into your calculation of ROI, and identify the aspect(s)
of your hypothetical program that would make the element applicable and your calculation
accurate.

One key element that would factor into the ROI calculation would be time saved. For example,
in a call center how much time was saved due to improved efficiency of the trainees. This would
allow for more calls to be processed in a given day and this in turn would translate into more
money. This could be easily calculated into the ROI percentage and a clear increase in profits
could be determined by it. This would show how important the training program is and just what
it did for the company in question.

* Based on the scenario, analyze the ROI of the training that was implemented, using the
cost analysis approach.

In the scenario, Taormina’s training will have to be analyzed to see if the ROI was worth the
effort put into the program. To do this, we check on the cost of implementation, in this case let’s
say $1,000. We then calculate the post-training savings, in this case let’s say $2,000. Subtracting
this cost from the savings, we get a cost savings for the first year of $1,000. The ROI is then 0.5
or 50%. This is clearly a huge savings and shows that the training was a huge success and needs
to be continued and perhaps even expanded as the company grows.
"Reaction Questionnaire" Please respond to the following:

Outline key elements of a reaction questionnaire that you may use for a training program
of your choice.

The key elements of a reaction questionnaire are determining what is to be measured, which is
the primary purpose of the questionnaire, develop the written questions that will go on the
questionnaire, develop a quantitative scale to rate it, make it anonymous, determine category of
responder, such as old, young, age category, etc…, and allow space for additional comments.
When done properly, these questions will allow you to gather the necessary data to make a good
judgment on the value of the training and it will allow you to re-evaluate and improve the
training modules based on the feedback given.

Based on the e-Activity, choose one or two aspects of the training evaluation model, and
suggest how you would address the considerations related to each of the aspects of the
model in a training program. Support your response with concrete examples.

The aspect that seems very important is Level 1: Reaction. This is a key aspect of any training,
and exactly why you just wrote the reaction questionnaire in the previous question. Feedback
from the trainees is vital - Did they understand the training? Did they think it was a success? Was
it were the trainings strengths and weaknesses? Was the venue good? How was the presentation
style? These are all key to understanding the nature of your training program and how to adjust it
for other groups of trainees and to weed out what doesn’t work for what does.
