What is required:
Ever though who are these what are their background what did they do to learn
Are these genuine failures (PLEASE ACCEPT YOU CAN FAIL ALSO THIS IS LIKE ANY OTHER
VENTURE)
Yes, agreed this is a fact and when someone tells you this you are like astonished
If this is true why you don’t short all breakouts believe me a system with 80 percent success
rate is just wonderful
In short this is half baked truth
If you fail in trading the escape route adopted by any trainer is Psychology
If you had Psychological problems then you should visit a doctor ASAP you are not normal
normally also
Imagine if you tested your system for 10 years or studied market behavior for 15-20 years
after gaining basic knowledge Will you have this problem
Agreed you need to control greed and fear but backed by solid ground work
If you have this problem believe me you wont be successful in any business
WHEN BUSINESSES ARE BACKED BY GREED AND FEAR ANY BUSINESS VENTURE WILL FAIL
Yes you need some basic knowledge on Fundamental, Technical analysis no doubt on this
one (Books)
o Intelligent Investor
o Technical analysis of Financial Markets
o Reminiscences of a Stock Operator
o Analysis of Stock Trends – Edwards and Maggee
I am roughly sure any systems are derivations of the above books. For intermediate and advanced
levels there are different books
Yes you need to know Market basics so you don’t buy and sell a T2T script, or you don’t
get a margin call
o NSE modules are the best (NCFM)
As any other profession you need 2-3 years of time to study and 1-2 years of practical
experience to be equipped to trade
Money management and Position sizing this is very important since we are dealing with
probabilities
Have you tried this:
Take 100-200 stocks and 5-10 indices study them on 2hourly, Daily, Weekly, Monthly time frame
What happened just before a major fall and major rise (situations price action)
How the stock / index performs month on month years or year is there some correlation
Start bar by bar replay test your understanding of the markets and see if it works
Yes put real money to test in small quantities (Paper trading is the most useless system)
Always check if the markets are changing behaviour (Yes they are dynamic)
If they move significantly, then do they give good entries and exits so that you can profit from it
Check how these stocks / indices moves significantly i.e. what were the pre-conditions that made
them move
