Happy New Year! Welcome to Volume 4, Issue 1 of Green
Energy Environment. In this Editorial we would like to share
some achievements with you and look into the exciting future
of Green Energy Environ.
cited by many excellent SCI journals, such as Chem. Rev., Adv.
Energy Mater., JACS, Adv. Fun. Mater., etc, which indicates that
more and more researchers are recognizing Green Energy
Environ. as an important resource to access science and tech-
nology. Besides, after indexed by Google Scholar and DOAJ,
Green Energy Environ. has been evaluated for inclusion in Sco-
pus by the Content Selection & Advisory Board (CSAB) in July
2018. This is an exciting news and we are confident of making
more significant progress.

Chinese Mainland. They have made great contributions by sub-
mitting and recommending works, reviewing articles, delivering
presentations and making suggestions to the journal, which have
laid a solid foundation for future development. To ensure the
continued success of Green Energy Environ., we are pleased to
inform you that 3 associate editorsdProf. Zhen Zhou from
Nankai University, Prof. Zhongfang Chen from University of
Puerto Rico, USA, Prof. Xuehai Yan from Institute of Process
Engineering, CAS, and 22 Young Editorial Board Members will
join us from January 2019. They have made considerable ach-
ievements in their research fields matching up with the scope of
Green Energy Environ., and have great enthusiasm for promoting
the journal. We look forward to working closely with them. I
believe their participation will result in a more rapid and efficient
peer review process, a higher visibility to international research
community and a more insightful platform echoing cutting-edge
topics.
Meanwhile, the editorial office continues to work hard to
ensure that the works published in Green Energy Environ. has
the highest visibility. We are actively co-organizing academic
conferences to be aware of frontier researches, sponsoring the
poster prizes to support emerging researchers and students and
setting awards for highly cited authors and excellent reviewers
to encourage conscientious contributions. Articles and news
are timely released by the website (at ScienceDirect), Men-
deley, ResearchGate, LinkedIn, WeChat and Email to high-
light the latest research. We are delighted to see the journal has
a very broad readership appealing to chemical scientists,
engineers, industrialists from all over the world, and the
authors distributed in more than 20 countries and regions, as
shown in Fig. 1.
3. Looking into the future
In 2019, Green Energy Environ. will publish two themed issues
about “Catalysis for green process” and “Ionic liquids for green
world” respectively. The latter one will select excellent articles
from the 8th International Congress on Ionic Liquids (COIL-8)
co-organized by Green Energy Environ. during May 13–17, 2019
in Beijing. We are looking forward to meeting more of our
authors, readers and referees at upcoming conferences to discuss
the journal and development in green energy and environment.
Thank all the members of the Editorial Board, and authors,
referees, and readers. It is your dedication and support that
have shaped the achievements today. We are confident that the
journal will flourish and develop in size as well as quality and
impact over the coming years with all your continuous sup-
