Coronavirus (COVID-19)
Infectious disease caused by a new virus
named Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome
Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2).
About the virus
01 The outbreak of the virus, which began in Wuhan, China, has
sickened hundreds of thousands. More than 38,000 people
have died. The case was began in November 2019.

02 Scientists now suspect this coronavirus, SARS-CoV-2,

originated in a bat and somehow hopped to another animal,
which then passed it on to humans.

Dr. Li Wenliang was a Chinese doctor who hailed as a hero by

03 many for trying to ring early alarms that a cluster of infections
could spin out of control. He died on Feb. 7 after contracting the
coronavirus.

04 The World Health Organization (WHO) on March 11 declared

COVID-19 a pandemic.
