In life, there are so much more surprises that comes. These surprises came along
unexpectedly. Ironically, life is repetitive yet it remains unpredictable, at some point.
We are here for a meaningful purpose. We live not for just an existence but for a
mission. The real questions are,

“What if the essence of life is taken away by an unnecessary guest?”

“Will it be still can be recognized as the „life‟ that we used to have?”

“How can we survive this challenge that was surprisingly given to us?”

These are some of the questions that roam in the mind of everyone. There would
be no specific answers. The answers to these queries will be solved individually. Our
life today is can be considered as a game of survival. The longer we live, the stronger
we can be recognized. It is utmost important to play this game wisely. Our lives are
greatly at stake.

Coronavirus or Covid-19 came from the province of Wuhan at China. Before,

there were rumors that it came from the food culture of Chinese people as they eat the
meat of the bats. There was no clear statement that it was originated from this issue.
Also, there was a news update that Coronavirus was intentionally created by a
microbiology scientist. As of now, there‟s no update regarding the existence of this
virus. Coronavirus is different from other co-existing viruses. It is much worse than
other or maybe can be considered as the worst virus of all time. It is categorized as
pandemic wherein it reached all the corners of the world. Covid-19 virus is the invisible
enemy that killed an enormous number of people all over the world. It damaged and
continuing to damage a huge number of people. This is one of the silent killers that
ever existed in our lives.

Nobody see that it would come by this far. Few months ago, we are just informed
that class suspensions are raised for some precautionary measures to avoid the spread
of this virus within the vicinity and other nearby areas. As a student, I found it normal
and usual. But instead of preventing the spread, it grew to a larger number of cases. I
was puzzled and left hanging by this situation. The moment that every area are
intended to undergo enhanced community quarantine, everything seems to be
gradually fading. There are a lot of changes happened since this lockdown occurred.
The polluted and noisy roads of the cities turned into zero. There were no vehicles that
can be seen. The busy people on the streets suddenly disappeared. The gregarious
neighborhoods locked themselves in their own houses. The engaging businesses are

temporarily closed. The life that we used to live turns out to be the life that we don‟t
expect to have. Even the small percentage of chance that this would ever happen was
unable to determine this kind of phenomenon. The essence of life was being limited
inside the four corners of each house. The normal life became far to be at hand. On the
other hand, the life doesn‟t stop to move. Every new day that comes is the new chances
that we can have to explore and discover the new essence of our lives. Our lives don‟t
evolve outside only. In fact, life starts at home. Fortunately, most of the people are
privileged to have their education. Each subject matters in our reality. The time that we
started to live more careful by obeying the given guideline to avoid being a victim of
Coronavirus, it is already considered as part of our Physical Education. Physical
Education isn‟t only about doing exercises and moving all along. It is also about the
health and safety of everyone. The moment that we opened our eyes in the morning,
we, individually, is already applying and performing the objective of Physical
Education that was taught to us. Unknowingly, this subject is important in our kind of
living most especially in this time of crisis. We are just more cautious of every move we
make. There are chances that one wrong move or one mistake can destroy the game of
life that is offering right now. We may treat Physical Education as a minor subject but
when it comes to life, we are implicating the fundamentals of this subject. The best
thing that can test the effectiveness of a specific subject is not tested through a paper or
even inside the classroom. The real battle is outside of any of our comfort zones. Life is
a test of character that our institutions brought to our lives.

As a human being, there are many voices that predict what and who to believe
in. But for me, I stand for my own choices that will make me survive this crisis. I speak
for my own voice not only to be heard but also to influence in my own concrete ways. I
know some may not agree with me, but as an optimistic person, I see this Coronavirus
or Covid-19 virus as a blessing in disguise. It taught me many life lessons that I was not
able to see during the normal days of our life. There is still no absolute end to this crisis
but I know in God‟s perfect time, it will end soon. The end justify the means – is being
applied to this pandemic; yet the end is still invisible. Everything is not perfect. Life is
not only about happy thoughts. The excitement came from the challenges and
obstacles that we are served to face. This will boost and enhance the range of living
that we used to have. Always be grateful and genuinely happy for the life that is
provided for us. We must learn to live life in various ways to be able to survive.
Somehow, life has no boundaries in some aspect. Always look and live on the positive
side of this crisis. All happens for a reason. Let us continue to live because we are
wonderfully created for a purpose. Coronavirus doesn‟t suffice the essence of living.
This just make us better and stronger individuals for we are still able to conquer
without doubt and fears.
