CONTROLS

SELECTOR VALVE: Axiliary Hydraulic

An optional selector valve kit is also available which

allows switching the auxiliary hydraulic flow from
front to rear output. Valve and hoses shown in FIG.
C-16 and C-18.

VARIABLE PROPEL MOTOR

20 C-V loaders, have variable displacement propel

motors. The motor speed is controlled by a foot pedal
on the right side of the control console. Pushing down
on the pedal shifts the motors to the hi-speed or travel
mode. The hi-speed or travel range should be used for
'road travel only and not for heavy working. The !oot
pedal returns to the low-speed or work range
automatically (See FIG. C-17). FIG. C-17 20 C-V Verlable Propel Motor Foot Padal .

HYDRAULIC SELF-LEVEL
Model 11 C-V, 14 C-V and 20 COY

The SELF LEVEL will automatically maintain the loader

bucket in the same angular relationship to the ground
when the lift arms are raised w/o manual adjustment
to bucket cylinders.

11 C-V, 14 C-V, and 20 C-V loaders can have a

hydraulic self level valve kit factory or field installed.
Self-level can be switched in or out using the selec-
tor valve located to the left of the operator's seat.
Push forward on the handle for self-level and Pull
back for normal operaton .. See section E for details
on adjusting the self-level valve. (See FIG. C-18 AI. FIG. C-18 Two Spool Auxiliary Hydraulics

The engine cover end panels. side screen and seat

plate are retained by a slide latch/recepticle system.
(Fig. 0-6 thru 0-9). To remove the various pieces.
slide the latch pin back and rotate to hold in the
retracted position. Remove the item as required.

The wheel drive drain location was changed to the

front of the wheel drive housing starting with the
following serial numbers and up for the various
models:

NOTE: The magnetic plug in the side of the wheel

drives is still used eventhough the drain is relocated.
To drain the wheel drive oil on loaders with the front
drain:

1. 8ack the loader rear wheels on top of suitable

blocking such as a 2 x 8 so the rear of the
loader is higher than the front.
2. Raise the lift arms and open the front restraint.

Slowly lower the lift arms until they rest on top

of the front restraint wing. Shut-off engine.
3. To provide access to the drain plug or cap, the
lift arm guides must be removed on the 9 C, 9
CI../9 DL, 11 C V and 14 C V models or the
cover plate removed on the 20 C V. Refer to
FIG. 0-72 A and 0-72 B.
4 Remove the cap from the wheel drive oil drain
and allow the oil to run out. Replace the drain
cap.
5 Re-fill the wheel drives through the oil level
dipstick hole (FIG. 0-70 and 0-71\.
6. Replacethe lift arm guide orfront cover plate.
Refer to section Efor instructions on adjusting
the position of the lift arm guides. FIG. 0-72 B Wheel drive oil drain hole cover plate on 20 C V.
