Photographer bio
Peter McKinnon

Peter was born on October 28, 1985 in Toronto, Canada and is

currently 34 years of age. He is famous for his film making and
photography skills and is an expert in his field. He would
describe himself as an outgoing coffee addict with a love for
capturing the moment. He shoots with the 1Dx series

Application
Peter is like a jack of all trades when it comes to his genre of photography, he does everything from
product photography to landscape photography but focuses mainly on landscapes. His most famous
and what he would say is his most inspiring photo he’s ever taking would be “The Bucket Shot” (as
seen in his video Published on YouTube called the
bucket shot {https://www.youtube.com/watch?

The Bucket Shot is stunningly composed and very rare

shot of Moraine Lake, in Banff National Park in Canada
on a clear day Peter said in his own words “I was awe-
struck by the beauty of Moraine Lake. I could not
believe its part of my home, Canada”

Published
Peter publishes all his shots to Instagram where he has a following of 2.4 million people or gets them
on glass or canvas prints, but He has been featured in Magic Magazine, Popular Photography
Magazine. He even had his work published and printed on
the Canadian $30 printed by the royal Canadian mint the
coin gave you the impression that you were looking through
the aperture blades on a lens to see his “Bucket Shot”

7th Era (Liam)

7th Era is a street and portrait Photographer from Melbourne

Australia and has a YouTube channel of over 250k subscribers
where he teaches the world about urban photography and has
fun with his mates he is an advocate for using photography to
promote positive mental health and has the catchphrase
“don’t think, just do” and inspires people all over the world to
just pick up a camera and go have fun taken photos he travels
the world with his best friends taken photos and making videos
about their experiences. He shoots with the Sony A7iii

Application
Liam’s main genre when it comes to his photography is street
photography he has a series on his YouTube channel called “POV
Photography” where he mounts a go pro to his chest and walks
around the streets of Melbourne mainly at night to capture
amazing urban photos of people just living their lives or stunning
portraits of his friends if they are out with him he has a keen eye for
photography and is one of the most talented creatives in the
industry at the minute.

He is always on the look out for bright lights and leading lines and
really knows how to make the subject of his photos pop using
composition and other tricks like contrast and rule of thirds.

Published
Liam publishes all his photos on his YouTube where he features
them in videos or he posts them to his Instagram that he uses as his
portfolio and has the following of 193 thousand people with the
Instagram handle of (@7th.era)

Inspiration

7th era and Peter McKinnon inspire me because of their attitude towards photography they both see
being a photographer as a way of life and are constantly trying to improve their skills and branch out
into new areas of photography.

They both are advocates on using photography to positively effect your mental health and believe
that anyone can do it and it doesn’t matter what gear you have along as you have the mind set and
your motivated you can do it or do anything you put your mind to.

I reflect on this because every time I see one of their photos or videos it just amazes me and makes
me want to go out and take photos like them and makes me believe that if I stay motivated and keep
my mind to it I can be as good as them one day.
