GREETINGS

Chanakya National Law University, Patna proudly invites you to the third
edition of its annual festival, Jeevatva. Being revived after a gap of 5 years, it
promises to be back with a bang. This time Jeevatva will pack a magical
experience for all of you as the institution and the people associated with it have
worked hard to make this a wonderful experience and a joyride for all the
attendees.

Jeevatva which means the essence of life surely stands for its name since it is
truly a celebration of life and the different joys it offers. The third edition of
Jeevatva will celebrate the magnificent and vibrant culture of Bihar along with
the celebration of life in these three days packed with events in the cultural,
literary and sports category, giving the participants a chance to get in touch with
their creative side and explore different avenues of their interest, all at the same
time and at the same place. It will surely be a treat for all lovers of art and sports
for Jeevatva is the celebration of creativity, talent, sportsmanship, culture and
more importantly life in itself.
ABOUT CNLU

CNLU is widely accepted and regarded as one of the premier National Law
Schools for legal education, and merely within ten years of its establishment
has cultivated not only the best legal minds but also leaders in virtually every
sphere of life. The institution prides itself on giving its students the ability to
develop skills not just in regard to advocacy and legal reform, but also in
various cultural, literary and sports spheres in order to provide an environment
of all-round development, with the intention of fostering leadership and
character building in each of its students. With this objective in mind, the
students and administration of CNLU are organizing the 3rd CNLU Annual Fest
“Jeevatva 2.0”.
ABOUT PATNA

Patna, the erstwhile City of Patliputra lies to the south of the River Ganges. This
ancient city has seen the rise & fall of many empires, and has served as the
Centre of culture, spirituality, politics and commerce for many years. From
Independence, Patna has been the state capital of Bihar.

It has one of the most vibrant cultures to offer with a diversity of languages,
traditions and cuisines. It has a rich historical heritage and is replete with the
reminisces of the glorious past. It is a popular tourist spot with monuments like
Gol Ghar, the Bihar Museum and many more. The city is a sight to behold
every evening when its markets come alive and people get out to shop and
satisfy their taste buds with the delicious street food of Maurya Lok and Dak
Bungalow Chowraha.

THEATRE EVENTS

Nukkad Natak- Street play:

From nukkad to stage, Jeevatva provides for you an ultimate platform to take
your voice, emotions, actions, humour to the hearts of the audience. The
concept of nukkad natak is engraved as one of the solution to reach the core of
the society’s dynamic setup. This Jeevatva come and give out the social
message which stands as a duty. with entertaining performance and leave the
audience dumbstruck.

Rules and Regulations for Nukkad Natak:

 One team can have a minimum 10 members. No upper limit for the same.
 Time limit: 20 minutes. Negative points for exceeding the time.
 Costumes and props to be arranged by the participating team themselves.
The props used (if any) will be minimal. However, it should be noted that
marks will be allotted based on the creative use of props and not on their
number.
 Musical instruments (if any) to be arranged and brought by the
participating team. The organizers will not take any responsibility for its
safety/security.
 Any electronic device or recorded music is not allowed.
 The production can be in either English or Hindi or both.
 The theme of the production should be related to a social/political public
issue-based awareness.
 The script should be original/self-written and should not be copied. If
found guilty, would result in disqualification of the team.
 There should be no instance of vulgarity or usage of obscene
words/phrases. It is strictly prohibited.
 Decision of the judges shall be final and binding.

Judging Criterion for awarding points:

 Creative and technical quality of the production.


 Social message and audience impact.
 Adherence to time limit.

Registration Fee: ₹600 per team


MUMMERY

The art of mime touches the very heart and it expresses the insights of every
soul witnessing. Jeevatva’19 brings you a stage to perform your unique skill and
award the talents with exciting gifts and cash prize.

Rules and Regulations for Mime:

 Each team can have a maximum of 15 members.


 Time duration: 12 minutes. Negative point for exceeding the time limit.
 The act should not contain any dialogue or lip sync.
 If any act exhibits any gestures which is of offensive, obscene or
disrespectful nature, such would lead to immediate ceasing of the act and
the entry will be disqualified.

Judging criterion for awarding points:

 Points will be allotted on the basis of the innovation, depiction of the


situation, team work and expressions.

Registration Fee: ₹500 per team.


MONOLONE

“One can make a difference”. The Mono Act or Monologue is a piece of art
which is in itself a source of entertainment both for the performer and the
audience. Come to Jeevatva and define your presence.

Rules and Regulations for Monologue:

 Time duration: 15+2 mins (Maximum). (2 min. For stage


preparation).
 Costumes and props to be arranged by the participating teams
themselves.
 The production can be either in English or Hindi or both.
 Music to be arranged and brought in a pen-drive by the
participating team. In case of live music, organizers to be
notified before hand.
 There should be no instance of vulgarity or usage of obscene
words/phrases. It is strictly prohibited.
 Decision of the judges shall be final and binding.
 Please note that the judges can stop you at any time at their
discretion.

Judging Criterion for awarding points:

 Creative and technical quality of the production.


 Adherence to time limit.

Registration Fee: ₹100 per participant.


MUSICAL EVENTS

Malang -Battle of Bands

Emerging Bands from across the country will set the campus on fire and will
battle for the throne of the ultimate MALANG. The most admired ones on the
social media will make it to the campus round. Finally the band will have to go
live and win the heart of the crowd with its rhythm at the cultural night. The one
promising band forcing even the judges to surrender over its beat will be sworn
in as the crown owner and a luscious bounty will be awarded.

Rules and Regulations:

• Time allotted for each performance is 5-7 minutes.


• Participants will not be allowed to refer to the lyrics while
singing.
• The participants will be judged on the song selection, voice
quality, clarity, rhythm and their appeal to the audience.
• The participants should bring their own musical instruments.
• Choice of song is open to the participants, but the song should
not have any slangs or derogatory language.
• Decision of the judges shall be final and binding.
Judging Criterion for awarding points:

 Voice Sound Quality (The quality and individual characteristics of the


voice.)
 Rhythm & Tempo (The voice in relation to the music.)
 Vocal Expression (How well the performer is able to express the meaning
and mood of the song.)
 Stage Presence (The physical expression of the song in terms of the
overall visual presentation of the performance on stage.)
 Entertainment Value (The audience and judge’s reaction to the overall
performance.)
 Adherence to time limit.

Registration Fee: ₹600 per team.


STAG’S PRIDE -SOLO SINGING

All the singers, it is time to pull up your socks as solo singing challenge is
coming your way. You have the chance to exhibit your singing skills.

To fall in love with oneself is the first secret to happiness. The theme describes
how you don’t need someone to complete you and if you are searching for that
one person that will change your life, you just need to take a look in the mirror.
So this valentine’s show everyone that it’s time to love yourself and be proud of
everything that you do!!

Rules and Regulations:

 Time allotted for each performance is 2-3 minutes.


 The participants will be judged on the song selection, voice
quality, clarity, rhythm and their appeal to the audience.
 The participants should bring their own musical instruments.
 Choice of song is open to the participants, but the song should
not have any slangs or derogatory language.
 Decision of the judges shall be final and binding.

LA VIE EN ROSE -DUET SINGING

It is a duet singing event, which assesses both co-ordination and compatibility


of the duo, along with their musical abilities. Join the celebration of music in
JEEVATVA.

It’s said that when emotions flow with your voice, everyone falls in love with
you.The theme translates to 'life in pink', the soft colour of love, the colour of
February. So this valentine amaze everyone with your way of la vie en rose,
through your goggles of music in the form of duet.

Rules and Regulations:

 Participants are free to sing any English or Hindi song.


 Participation must be in pairs.
 A maximum of 5 minutes will be given to each team.
 Exceeding the time may lead to deduction in marks.
 Participants must carry their own instrument or instrumental music/
karaoke.
 Decision by jury will be final and binding.
 Music on mobile phone will not be acceptable.

Judging criterion for awarding points:

 Vocal, Pitching, Rhythm & Diction.


 Team Dynamics/Choreography & Showmanship.
 Costume, Overall Impression, Impact & Stage Presence.
 Adherence to time limit.

Registration Fee: ₹250 per team.


DANCE EVENTS

Bust a Move -Solo Dancing

As it is said, “the job of the feet is walking, but their hobby is dancing”.
Jeevatva brings you an opportunity to let your feet follow their passion. Yes!
The time for you to show your hidden moves has come. ‘Bust a Move’ gives
you the opportunity to express yourself and your emotion and win prizes for it.
So come, rock the Jeevatva stage with your ultimate grace and charm.

Rules and Regulations for solo dancing:

 Time limit: 4 minutes per participant. Negative points for exceeding the
time.
 Costumes and props are to be arranged by the participants themselves.
The props used (if any) will be minimal. However, it should be noted that
the use of props does not add to the marking scheme.
 The participant can perform any style of dancing.
 Music to be arranged and brought in a pen-drive by the participants.
 There should be no instance of vulgarity or obscenity during the
performance. In case of an incident of the sort, the participant shall be
disqualified with immediate effect.
 Decision of the judges shall be final and binding.

Registration Fee: ₹100 per participants.


ADVENTURES OF THE DANCING CLAN (GROUP DANCING)

Paulo Coelho once said, “When you dance, you can enjoy the luxury of being
you”. We here, at Jeevatva believe the same and thus, invite you to come with
your clan to showcase the richness of the varied cultures of the world.

Let there be no boundaries. Jeevatva’s stage awaits the lyrical depiction of


cultures and communities across the world. So gather your gang and get ready
to win!

 Up to 10 members allowed.
 Time duration: 5 minutes, excluding 2 min. for stage preparation.
 Costumes and props to be arranged by the participating teams themselves.
 The theme is to be adhered to strictly.
 Music to be arranged and brought in a pen-drive by the participating
team.
 There should be no instance of vulgarity or obscenity during the
performance. In case of an incident of the sort, the participant shall be
disqualified with immediate effect.
 Decision of the judges shall be final and binding.

ART EVENTS

Artsy Posters -POSTER MAKING

Boost up your artsy minds, pen down your thoughts, brush your imagination
and give a theme of the white paper. Create your own design and the white turns
into your hues of thoughts. Jeevatva invites you to the battle between creative
minds.

Rules and Regulations for poster making:

 It is an individual competition.
 Subjects will be announced just before the commencement of the
competition.
 Participants will be provided paper sheets by the organizers.
 The stationary like pen, pencil, brush, paint, etc. should be brought by the
participants themselves.
 Each participant will be given 2 hours to complete their posters.

Judging criterion for awarding points:

 Points shall be awarded on the basis of creativity, design, clarity, content


and elements present.

Registration Fee: ₹150 per participant.


FASHIONISTA -FASHION SHOW

Fashion is the armor to survive the reality of everyday life. It is not something
that exists in dresses only. It exists in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do
with the ideas, the way we live. So, in order to be fabulous and irreplaceable,
depict your self-confidence on the ramp by wearing the best outfit with a
ravishing smile. Always remember they say that, dress shabbily and they
remember the dress; dress impeccably and they remember the women. So here
we invite you to our one of the most grand event of the evening "Fashionista".

Rules and regulations

 The name of all the participants must be registered.


 It is a team event; a team can have only 12-15 members. (Including
participants, choreographer and co-ordinator)
 Time limit for every team would be 10 minutes. (Including setup and
performance both)
 Negative points will be awarded if the participants exceed the given time
limit.
 Theme selection is open to the teams. Themes like women empowerment,
retro, etc.
 A green room would be provided for the changing purpose.
 Participants should carry their tracks in pen drive.
 Vulgarity is strongly prohibited. Any form of vulgarity will lead to
debarring the team or the participant from the contest.
 The team will be judged on theme, coordination, costume, walking stance
and attitude.
 The decision of the judges will be final and binding.
 Use of cigarettes, alcohol and any unfair means is strongly prohibited.
 Participants are required to arrange for their props (if any) themselves.

LITERARY EVENTS

KAVYANJALI (SLAM POETRY)

An exceptional poetry is when emotions find words and those words find
audience. Jeevatva invites you to try your hand at the performance poetry and
lets see if you can pull the audience in.

Rules:

 Team Size: Solo.


 Rounds: Eliminations & Finals.

Judging Criteria :

 Content, Delivery, Language, USP (Unique Selling Point) and Overall


Impact.

Eliminations:

 Eliminations are to be conducted on-ground during the fest, where the


participants have to perform for 3-4 minutes in front of a live audience.
Finals:

 The participants who cleared the eliminations will be asked to prepare a


performance of maximum 5 minutes and minimum 3 minutes to perform
in front of a live audience.

General Rules:

 As the basic rule of slam poetry, each poem must be poet's own
construction.
 Both English and Hindi are allowed. No other language is allowed.
 Decisions taken by the judge is absolute and binding.
 Use of obscenity/profanity (at the discretion of the judges) is not allowed
and there should be no direct implications.
 Since the participants are called upon in a random order, each is required
to be present at least 5 minutes prior to the start.
 Organisers will not be responsible if you are unable to show up on time
and miss your slot.
 Poetry which isnt slam poetry will be disqualified.
 The poems performed in the eliminations and finals must be different.

TURNCOAT DEBATE

Debating with your opponent is a fairly common phenomenon, but have you
ever tried debating with yourself, I bet you have that is exactly what we do
everyday when we deal with this thing called life, So here we invite you to be a
devil's advocate and impress us all with your mind boggling skills and ideas
with the additional benefits of winning cash prizes basically it is completely a
win-win scenario.

Rules

 Team Size: Solo

Rounds:

 Eliminations and finals

General Rules

 Language of presentation is English.


 Participants have to prepare both for and against the motion/topic.
 Topics will be given well in advance
 Participant has to speak for a total of 4 minutes.
 They may begin with a stance of their choice but have to switch once the
judge taps/bangs. There may be more than one tap, which means
participants may have to switch more than once and must continue
speaking until the time of 4 minutes is up.

Judging Criteria:

 Content, Stage Presence, Voice articulation, Spontaneity, Wit & Humor.


The team with the most relevant points and counter-arguments will win.

Registration Fee: Rs.100


JUST A MINUTE (JAM)

It takes 60 seconds for the hummingbird to flap its wings 4000 times, In about
60 Seconds 1800 stars explode in the universe and interestingly it will take
exactly 60 seconds for you to impress us all with your impeccable speaking
skills. Jeevatva invites you all to be part of fun that will be this event.

Rules

 Team Size: Solo.


 On-ground slots will be available, preferred if you register online.
 Round(s): Eliminations (may be more than one) and finals.

Judging Criteria:

 Content, Spontaneity, Diction, Wit, Humour, Originality, and Overall


Impact.

General rules:

 Solo Competition in which the participants are invited to speak on the


spot, in rotation, for one minute on a given subject in English, without
"hesitation, repetition or deviation".
 A panellist scores points for making a correct challenge (concerning
repetition or deviation) against whoever is speaking, or the speaker gets a
point if the challenge is deemed incorrect.
 A player who makes a correct challenge takes over the subject for the
remainder of the minute, or until he or she is successfully challenged.
 The person speaking at the moment the whistle blows (after 60 seconds)
also scores a point.
 Extra points will awarded if a panellist speaks for the entire minute.
 Any obscenity will lead to disqualification. The final decision is based on
the discretion of the JAM Master and the organising committee.

Eliminations:

 Participants will be divided into groups and only one from each group
makes it to the next round.
 Participant with the highest score (winner) from each group will move to
the next round.
 No variations will be introduced.

Finals:

 Random variations will be introduced on the spot before each round.


 For example; Prohibition of the use of the word ‘is’.

QUIZ

Jeevtava is hosting a fun fueled quiz competition for quizzers from all over
India, The Quiz questions will be derived from areas of General Knowledge,
Current Affairs, Pop culture, Science etc. Dont miss this chance of winning
some serious cash prizes.

Rules

 Team Size : Teams of 2(Cross Teams are allowed)


 Theme : General

Format of the Quiz

 The Quiz shall be conducted in two rounds, prelims and finals.


 Both the rounds shall be projector-based rounds.
 Prelims shall consist of 30 questions.
 Out of all the participants, the top 5 shall make it to the stage finals. In
addition to that, the highest scoring all-girls team will get a spot in the
finals.
 The stage finals will consist of six rounds.
 The pattern and conduct of these rounds shall be deliberated upon later.

HINDI DEBATE

After successfully hosting the English edition of the debate successfully for 10
years, we are back with Hindi debate. Jeevatva invites you to this grueling
debate competition, where there will be exciting prizes, amazing panel and an
unmatchable experience

Rules

 Team Size: Team of two


 Rounds: Elimination (maybe more than one),Finals.

Judging Criteria:

 Interpretation of motion, logical presentation of arguments, Evidences,


Rebutal of opponent, stance and gesture, adherence to format, elocution
and fluency.

General Rule

 Each team will deliver 2 constructive speeches of 6 minutes each and


rebuttal of 3 minutes for each.
 The proposition (affirmative) will give the first constructive speech, then
the opposition (negative) then soon.
 When worded as proposition the affirmative will have right to make
definition of each of the term in motion.
 If the negative challenges the reasonableness of the definition and
constructs a new one judge can accept that definition.
 Questions is to be asked after each speech has been delivered by the
opponent team. The person answering the question can consult his/her
teammate.
 Only one question is permitted, no rhetorical question should be asked,
question should be based on facts presented in speech, no comments and
statement should be given.
 No revision in position should be done during the debate.
 During the rebuttal no constructive points shall be made.

SPORTS EVENTS

GENERAL RULES:

 Each player should carry his/her


i. An original ID College Card bearing a photograph of the
player.
ii. An original government issued ID Card (i.e. Aadhaar
Card, Driving License, Voter Card, PAN Card)
iii. A participant ID card which will be provided by the
university.
iv. Two passport-sized photographs.
 Inability to provide any of the documents stated in Rule No 1, at the time
of entry or whenever asked for, will lead to immediate disqualification of
such player. No excuses will be taken into consideration.
 Inability to reach the match venue on time (as mentioned in fixture) or
not having sufficient players during the match will lead to an immediate
disqualification of such team.
 Using abusive language on the court, not abiding by the decisions of the
referee or challenging the decisions of the officials of Jeevatva 2019, will
lead to disqualification of such team.
 Use of any fake ID Card by any player mentioned in Rule No. 1 will lead
to disqualification of the whole team.
 Each team should carry their own equipments for practice.
 In case of any dispute, the decision of the Co-ordinator would be final.
CRICKET

“You don’t win or lose the games because of 11 you select. You win or lose
with what those 11 do on field.”

GAME RULES :-

 A team consists of maximum 13 players with a combination of playing 10


and 3 extras.
 It will be a league-cum-knockout tournament.
 Matches will be played as per the rules and guidelines followed in ICC,
International cricket council.( No LBW out will be there)
 In case, there is dispute between two teams regarding the qualification of
one team to the quarter-finals, semi-finals or finals due to equal points,
then the team with higher net run ratewill be qualified for the next round.
 Each winning team will be awarded with 2 points. In case of a tie, 1-1
point will be distributed to both teams.
 During the match, decision of the field umpire will be supreme and will
be final. Not abiding by the decisions of the umpire or challenging the
decisions of the officials of Jeevatva 2019 will lead to disqualification of
such team.
 The match will be played of 15 overs with 5 overs of powerplay.
 The decisions of the refree and the officials of JEEVATVA 2019 cricket
club will be final and binding on all the participants.
FOOTBALL

Registration fees:- ₹1500.

GAME RULES :-

 A team can consist of maximum 16 players with a combination of playing


11 (10+1 goalkeeper) and 5 extras.
 It will be a league-cum-knockout tournament.
 A match is played by two teams, each consisting of not more than eleven
players, one of whom is the goalkeeper.
 Up to a maximum of three substitutes may be used in any match played.
 If a substitute or substituted player enters the field of play without the
referee’s permission:
 the referee stops play (although not immediately if the substitute or
substituted player does not interfere with play) .
 the referee cautions him for unsporting behavior and orders him to leave
the field of play .
 if the referee has stopped play, it is restarted with an indirect free kick for
the opposing team from the position of the ball at the time of the
stoppage.
Basic equipment

 The basic compulsory equipment of a player comprises the following


separate items:
 a jersey or shirt with sleeves – if undergarments are worn, the colour of
the sleeve must be the same main colour as the sleeve of the jersey or
shirt
 shorts – if undershorts or tights are worn, they must be of the same main
color as the shorts
 stockings – if tape or similar material is applied externally it must be the
same colour as that part of the stocking it is applied to
 Shin guards : are covered entirely by the stockings footwear
 In case, there is dispute between two teams regarding the qualification of
one team to the quarter-finals, semi-finals or finals due to equal points,
then it will be decided on the goal difference and even if the goal
difference is equal then penalty shootout will take place between the
respected teams.
 Each winning team will be awarded with 2 points. In case of a tie, 1-1
point will be distributed to both teams.
 Each half will be of 30 mins + 10min extra (if draw) + Penalty Shootout
(if draw)
 Matches will be played as per the rules and guidelines followed in FIFA.
 The decisions of the refree and the officials of Jeevatva 2019 Soccer club
will be final and binding on all the participants.
BASKETBALL

"Basketball is a lifelong game. You continue to learn from the game day in and
day out, and all along the way, you get better."

Registration fees:- ₹1000

GAME RULES :-

 A team can consist of a maximum of 12 players and a minimum of 5


players, with a 5 players playing at a time on the court.
 It will be a league-cum-knockout tournament
 Matches will be played as per the rules and guidelines described in FIBA,
the International Basketball Federation.
 The matches will be played in 4 quarters. The timing of a match would be
10 minutes per quarter (i.e. 10-10-10-10).
 The allotment of points to the team for the matches played would be
evaluated as follows:
i. Matches Won = +2
ii. Matches Draw = +1
iii. Matches Lost = 0
 In case, there is dispute between two teams regarding the qualification of
one team to the quarter-finals, semi-finals or finals due to equal scores,
then the team with higher score difference will be qualified for the finals.
 If the final match ends in a draw, then an overtime of 5 minutes will be
given. Even if the match ends in draw then the team with higher match
points would be declared as winners.
 The decisions of the referee and the officials of Jeevatva 2019 basketball
club will be final and binding on all the participants.
VOLLEYBALL

"Volleyball is one of the most interactive games going. It is a game of intuition,


imagination, improvisation – but most of all, of reciprocity – of teamwork.
There is no way to free-lance volleyball.”

GAME RULES :-

 A team can consist of maximum 10 players with a combination of playing


6 and 4 extras.
 lt will be a league-cum-knockout tournament.
 Matches will be played as per the rules and guidelines followed in FIVB,
International VolleyBall Federation(No Rotation will be there)
 In case, there is dispute between two teams regarding the qualification of
one team to the quarter-finals, semi-finals or finals due to equal points,

BADMINTON

GAME RULES :-

 A team can consist of maximum 3 players with a combination of playing


doubles or mixed doubles and only 1 player for Singles.
 It will be a league-cum-knockout tournament.
 Each organization is allowed 1 singles and 2 doubles team(doubles and
mixed).
 A student may compete in ONLY 2 of the Three/ Rules
 A player must wait until his opponent is ready before serving. If the
opponent attempts a return then he is ruled having been ready.
 The feet of both players must remain in a stationary position until the
serve is made. Your feet can not be touching the line at this time.
 It is not a fault if you miss the shuttle while serving.
 The shuttle cannot be caught and slung with the racket.
 A player cannot hold his racket near the net to ward off a downward
stroke by his opponent or to interfere with his racket.
 Each winning team will be awarded with 2 points.
 Matches will be played as per the rules and guidelines followed in BWF.
 The decisions of the refree and the officials of Jeevatva 2019 Badminton
club will be final and binding on all the participants.
Faults:-

 The shuttle, at the instant of being hit is higher than the servers waist or
the head of the racket is higher than the servers racket hand.
 The shuttle does not land in the correct service court.
 The server's feet are not in the service court or if the feet of the receiver
are not in the court diagonally opposite the server.
 The server steps forward as he/she serves.
 Any player balking or feinting his opponent before serve or during serve.
 A serve or shot that lands outside the court boundaries, passes under or
through the net, touches any other obstructions or a players body or
clothing. The boundary and service lines are considered in play.
 The shuttle in play is struck before it crosses the net to the striker's side of
the net. You may follow through over the net.
 A player touching the net or its supports with his body or racket while the
shuttle is in play.
 Hitting the shuttle twice in succession by a player or team.

Scoring System:-

 A match consists of the best of 3 games of 21 points.


 Every time there is a serve – there is a point scored.
 The side winning a rally adds a point to its score.
i. At 20 all, the side which gains a 2 point lead first, wins that
game.
ii. At 29 all, the side scoring the 30th point, wins that game.
 The side winning a game serves first in the next game.
Interval and Change of Ends:-

 1 minute interval between each game is allowed.


 In the third game, players change ends when the leading score reaches 11
points.

Singles:-

 At the beginning of the game (0-0) and when the server’s score is even,
the server serves from the right service court. When the server’s score is
odd, the server serves from the left service court.
 If the server wins a rally, the server scores a point and then serves again
from the alternate service court.
 If the receiver wins a rally, the receiver scores a point and becomes the
new server. They serve from the appropriate service court – left if their
score is odd, and right if it is even.

Doubles:-

 A side has only one ‘set’.


 At the beginning of the game and when the score is even, the server
serves from the right service court. When it is odd, the server serves from
the left court.
 If the serving side wins a rally, the serving side scores a point and the
same server serves again from the alternate service court.
 If the receiving side wins a rally, the receiving side scores a point. The
receiving side becomes the new serving side.
 The players do not change their respective service courts until they win a
point when their side is serving.
Basic equipment :-

 The basic compulsory equipment of a player comprises the following


separate items:
 A jersey or shirt with sleeves – if undergarments are worn, the colour of
the sleeve must be the same main colour as the sleeve of the jersey or
shirt
 shorts – if undershorts or tights are worn, they must be of the same main
colour as the shorts

GAME RULES:-

 There can be a maximum of 4 players and a minimum of 3 players in


each team for men’s and maximum of 3 and minimum of 2 for women’s
team. Names of 3/2 players have to be submitted 15 minutes before the
match to the referees.
 Matches will be held on the basis of two singles and one doubles.
 Each league game will be a ‘best of 3 matches’ of 11 points.
 FOR SINGLES: - The matches will be held on the knockout basis.
 Each game will be a ‘best of 3 matches’ of 11 points.
 You are allowed to towel off every 6 points during a match, starting from
0-0.
 You are allowed a maximum rest period of 1 minute between games.
 Both the teams/Player are required to report 30 minutes before their
matches. In case a team/Player does not report latest after 20 minutes of
the match time or is a player short due to any reason, it will be
disqualified, and the other team/Player will be declared as the winner.
 The decision of the referees will be final, and all players must abide by it.

Model United Nations as the name suggests, is a stimulation of


the United Nations which help the participants evolve their
leadership and diplomatic skills and at the same time is an
exercise in research, public speaking, and teamwork. Jeevatva
Mun will provide students at school and university with the
opportunity to improve their knowledge and awareness of the
most relevant international issues and contribute to advance

2. All India Political Parties Meet’19


All India Political Parties is a platform where all the major political parties of
India discuss various issues that affect the nations and their political parties
respectively. It is an informal platform where the political leaders can discuss
freely their views and ideas on the Agenda and the details of the same are not
available to the Public or the Media.

The Agenda for this committee shall be the “Review of the NDA Performance
with special emphasis on Upcoming General Election (Lok Sabha)'19”.

Note- Freeze Date for this committee shall be January 1, 2019


RULES AND REGULATIONS

 Any number of participants per college/University in all the committees.


 Use of any Internet is prohibited in all committees during the Committee
Sessions.
 The participants would be allotted countries/portfolios on the basis of the
Committee Matrix and their responses on the online registration.
 English shall be the general language to be used in the committees,
however, Hindi shall be allowed in AIPPM.
 Participants are allowed are to carry their research documents etc.
 There should be no instance of vulgarity or usage of obscene
words/phrases. It is strictly prohibited.
 Decision of the judges shall be final and binding.

 Level of Research and use of Authorities;
 Adherence to the Foreign Policy/Portfolio allotted;
 Level of diplomatic and leadership skills;

 Any other criteria as adopted by the Executive Board of the concerned
committee
