Diligent Problem Solver
A Diligent Problem solver is someone who can find credible sources and identify if the
information given is valuable and credible. They conduct research in different sources and
evaluate which one is best for them to use. Is someone who investigates and identifies problems
and makes educated and logical decisions to find possible solutions and they also take into
account others’ ideas and knowledge.

WORK #1: Reportaje - Niñez Desaparecida

I chose this one because I believe that in this work I show that I am a diligent problem
solver. In order for me to complete this project I needed to be a diligent problem solver. This is a
reportage/report that we did during spanish class. We needed to investigate injustices that
were/are happening in the Dominican Republic and make a report of it. For this report I needed
to investigate about child abuse.
I focused on this one because this is something that makes me feel really bad. I asked
people’s opinion on this violence and because of that I could complete this report. By doing this
project I could investigate and learn a lot about how children feel and the love that there are
missing. This project helped me to be more loving and to spread concern about child abuse.
Know by doing this project I can teach others about child abuse and spread awareness about it.

WORK #2: Drawing
I chose this drawing because it shows that I am a diligent problem solver. This drawing
was done with partners and we could not be always together in order to both be working at the
same time. This was a drawing that we did last year (11th grade) to present during our
expedition, that was about coffee. At that expedition I learned a lot about coffee and we needed
to do research about it. I was a diligent problem solver because we needed to find credible
sources and take our ideas and opinions from them.
I showed that I was a diligent problem solver because as I said me and my partner
couldn't work at the same time so we decided to draw an idea first and divided the work. We also
researched about coffee and looked up some images in order to be able to create this drawing. I
asked my parents and some friends' opinions of how we should have done the drawing and the
results were really good. The teacher was very proud of our work and decided to stay with it. I
am very proud of the results, while doing the project my little brother ruined the first one and I
was very mad at the moment. When we finally finished our drawing I understood that the first
one I wasn't doing my best effort in order to be a good job.
WORK #3: Monografico
During Sociales class we were learning about things that harm our environment. Every
student received a topic and we had the responsibility to investigate it. The topic that I received
was forest fires. In a monografico there are a lot of things that we need to specify completely by
researching. During this time we needed to use reliable sources and find the solution to many
problems. This was a project that was based on information that was research.
This work shows that I am a diligent problem solver because I used different sources and
verified which one was the correct one to use to find solutions. When I couldn't understand
something I was diligent in asking my classmates and my teacher. I needed to be very careful
when choosing the source that I was going to get my information. Everything that I put in the
work needed to be true. I learned a lot during this project because I tried my best to find good
sources and even when it could be very stressful I still continued because I needed to do my best.

WORK #4: Informe de Investigación

This investigation report was assigned in the class of Spanish. It was connected to the
monográfico that we did in Sociales class. This report was all about investigation about fires in
the forest. We needed to complete this work and accomplish certain points to make this project
good. The information that we were going to use needed to be from a reliable source.
I show that I am a diligent problem solver because I had the answers to the problems. I
could identify if a source was reliable or not. Because I could do that it helped to have the
information necessarily to complete this project. When even I needed help I was not afraid to ask
my teacher or a classmate. This project helped me to develop this Skill in me because I wouldn't
give up whenever I needed to be fixing and redoing my work.
