Johnston County Public Schools - Smithfield-Selma Senior High School - 2019-Present


Principal Resident - Full-Time Administrative Internship
Assume duties of school administrator, including conducting formal and informal teacher observations and organizing
the observation schedule, organizing and facilitating professional development and Professional Learning Communities,
collect and analyze student academic and behavioral data, assisting in the implementation of school-wide initiatives,
and serving on the leadership committee. Research, design, and implement a year-long problem of practice focusing on
the high school transition for students with identified behavioral disabilities.

Johnston County Public Schools - West Johnston High School - 2017-2019


Teacher Leader
Served as teacher leader, including a co-facilitator for a school-wide Data Team and a member of the School
Improvement Team, collecting and analyzing teacher input to help drive professional development opportunities and
gathered feedback to assist future professional development plans, and served as the Junior Varsity Volleyball Coach.

Johnston County Public Schools - McGee’s Crossroads Middle School - 2007-2017


Instructional Coach
Assumed various roles as an instructional leader, including gathering and analyzing student data with Professional
Learning Communities, created and monitored Multi Tiered Systems of Supports (MTSS) plans with facilitating
required meetings, organized a digital platform to monitor MTSS plans for school-wide implementation, provided
interventions for tier 3 students in Reading and Math, coordinated testing plans for required assessments, and was an
active member of the School Improvement Team.
Teacher Leader
Served various roles of teacher leadership including Professional Learning Community leader, Parent-Teacher
Association representative, initiated school-wide acceleration/remediation plan for students based on data and flex
grouping, received district training to facilitate digital assessment program to monitor student growth, and a member of
the School Improvement Team.
