DRUMS and KOD’s

1. Acid Gas KOD (088-V-001), PDS No 088-PDS-0810-001_A

 Nozzle “N7” (Mount nozzle for PSV”) shall be located below demister pad (upstream
side of demister pad).
 Need for 2” steam out nozzle.
 Provide specific demister pad make/model details or process parameters for
demister pad design like particle removal efficiency, maximum allowable pressure
drop, particle size, thickness etc.
2. SWS Acid Gas KOD (088-V-002), PDS No 088-PDS-0810-002_B
 Confirm nozzle ratings of PSV & all level instrument mount nozzles shall be 300#
ratings against 150# specified.
 Need for 2” steam out nozzle.
 The KOD shall be provided with external LP steam tracing.
3. LP Condensate Drum (088-V-009), PDS No 088-PDS-0810-009_B

4. Blowdown Drum( 088-V-010), PDS No 088-PDS-0810-010_A
 Confirm the requirement of demister pad is not required. If required, provide
specific make/model details or process parameters for demister pad design like
particle removal efficiency, maximum allowable pressure drop, particle size,
thickness etc.
5. Fuel Gas KOD (090-V-008), PDS No 088-PDS-0810-008_A
 Nozzle “N7” (Mount nozzle for PSV”) shall be located below demister pad (upstream
side of demister pad).

HEAT EXCHANGERS

General Comment

Design Margin – As per document 088-CN-0007-001_A (Page 25 of 26) the design margin on heat
exchangers to be specified as 10 % on flow or 10 % on duty specified in process data sheet (which is
based on governing H&MB streams). The process data sheets does not mention about design
margin. Shall we specify design margin as 10% for all heat exchangers and redesign thermal design
for all heat exchangers? Except, for Condensate Drum Vent Condenser, Blowdown Cooler, BFW
pre-heater and Sulphur Cooler the heat exchanger design includes design margin. Please clarify.
