Briefly describe the stages of the database system development lifecycle.

Planning: It is the first and initial step of database lifecycle. In this step, we
plan the overview of database and create a blueprint of database. This step
include the requirement and overall purpose of the database. We understand the
purpose in this step to create the step, also we fix the time of delivery means the
deadline to create the system.
Also the database modelling and conceptual connection between the database
element is established.

Analysis: In the analysis phase, we decide and fix the requirement of the
database. Like what is the system requirements, organizational structure and its
purpose. To analysis the organizational requirements, the database designer
must discover the company’s operational component, their function and how
they interact.
Purpose of this phase it to understand the requirement and structuring,
functional system specification.

Logical Design: In the logical design phase, we start modelling the database.
Purpose of this phase is to information requirements elicitation and structure. In
this model we establish the connection between database entity and element.
Here we create the logical structure of database and at the end of this phase, we
are able to create the detailed design specification.
In the logical design phase, we design logical database design, its transaction,
forms, displays, views, data integrity and security.

Physical Design

In the physical design phase, we create the physical view of the database. Here
the hardware component of the database is modelled. The purpose of the this
phase is to develop technology and organizational specifications. To create the
physical model of the database, we include, programs, data structure,
technology, purchases and organization redesign.

Physical database design, include the physical data organization and database
processing programs.

Implementation: The implementation phase, connect the physical and logical

view of the database. The purpose of the implementation phase is to
programming the program, test these program whether the program run
correctly or not. Training the database, installation of the software and
documenting the database.

Maintenance: The maintenance phase is the step after the deliver of the
database, after delivering the database if any problem has occurred or any
functional has not worked properly then it is database administrator
