SAP-Projects
Client : TEXTRON USA
Environments : SAP R/3 4.7 , SAP Release 6.4, XI 3.0
Responsibilities:
Problem analysis, making proposals for alternate solutions, preparing require-
ments specification, implementation, unit testing and test case documentation. Was part
of the team involved in executing integration use cases involving: File, JDBC, RFC, IDOC,
and HTTP adapters.
• Integrating legacy system and SAP R/3 system. The legacy system produces flat
files containing vendor data. The file is then picked up by the file adapter,
converted to XML format, and mapped to IDoc-XML format. CREMAS03 IDoc is
then posted to the R/3 system to create a new Vendor.
• Integrating web application and SAP R/3 system. A third party web-based
purchasing application posts XML data to the XI plain HTTP adapter for purchase
order creation. The purchase order data is mapped to RFC-XML;
BAPI_PO_CREATE is then called to create the purchase order.
• Integrating legacy system and database system. The legacy system produces flat
files containing vendor data. The file is then picked up by the file adapter,
converted to XML format, mapped to SQL-XML format and then persisted into the
database.
• Implementing BPM asynchronous-synchronous bridge. The HTTP client posts the
XML PO request asynchronously to XI. BPM then posts the BAPI synchronously
into the R/3 system.
• Implementing use case pertaining to - collecting order items received from a CRM
system, the merged message is then sent to the SD system to check whether
missing materials have to be created. If so, the materials are created. A sales
order and a purchase order are then created and the purchase order is sent to
the supplier.
