About Radmin Communication Server
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Radmin Communication Server is an instant messaging software program for businesses

and organizations. Installing it on a server computer enables multiple users to
communicate with each other by both text and voice using Radmin Communication
Client.

The Radmin Communication Server system includes two applications:

- Radmin Communication Server,

which is installed on a remote computer.

- Radmin Communication Client

on a local computer that connects to Radmin Communication
Server using Text Chat or Voice Chat connection modes.

To get started Radmin Communication Server must be run on the remote server. Then
run Radmin Communication Client on all local computers that require instant
messaging capability and connect to the remote computer via the existing TCP/IP
connection.

Radmin Communication Client:

* Phonebook for storing connection information

A phonebook with a tree-view layout for managing lists of remote computers,
exporting and importing these lists and changing settings of individual records.

* Multilanguage user interface and built-in help

A multilanguage engine that uses language modules which are available for download
from the Famatech website.

* Radmin Communication Servers scanner

A high-speed, multi-threaded scanner allowing users to determine the hosts from the
phonebook that are currently running Radmin Communication Server.

* Shortcuts from phonebook to desktop

Creates a one-click access shortcut to any remote computer.

Available connection modes:

* Voice Chat connection mode

Real-time audio chat using microphone and speakers. Voice is transferred clearly
even with low-speed modem connections.

* Text Chat connection mode

Real-time chat using text messages. Multiple public and private channels, syntax
coloring and away-from-computer tracking are available.

Radmin Communication Server:

* Multiple Connections Support

The server can accept numerous incoming connections and is limited only by computer
resources. A client can simultaneously connect to different servers as well as to a
single server in different connection modes.

* Run as a Service
Works as a SERVICE, enabling connection when no user is logged on the remote
machine.

Radmin Security:

* 256-Bit AES strong encryption of all data streams

Radmin generates unique 256-bit keys for each connection and encrypts data streams
using highly-secure AES algorithms. Encryption is always enabled.

* Windows NT security permissions

Supports different permissions for specific users or user groups from a Primary
Domain, Trusted Domains and Active Directory. Automatic use of logged-in user
credentials is supported.

* Radmin Security Permissions

Supports different permissions for the Radmin Communication Server users list. A
modified Diffie-Hellman exchange with 2048-bit key size is used for secure user
authentication.

* IP Filter
Permits access to Radmin Communication Server from specified IP addresses and
networks only.

* Logging feature for writing all actions to the log file

Writes all critical information concerning connections, including user name and DNS
name, to a log file.

* 5 incorrect passwords sequence security delay

Will suspend accepting new connections after 5 attempts with the incorrect
password, preventing attempts to guess the password.

Radmin version compatibility:

* Radmin Communication Client can connect to Radmin Server v3.0 and Radmin
Communication Server

* Radmin Communication Server can accept connections from Radmin Communication

Client and Radmin Viewer v3.0

System requirements
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Radmin Communication Server has no special hardware requirements. If your computer

is capable of running Windows 95 or higher, the program will run. It even runs on a
486 with 8 MB RAM.

Running Voice Chat will require a decent computer configuration for transferring
audio, as well as a sound card, speakers and a microphone.

Radmin Communication Server will still operate successfully even when the monitor,
mouse and keyboard are not connected to the remote computer. However some computers
do not boot successfully without a keyboard plugged in.

For All Operating Systems (Win9x/ME/NT/2000/XP/2003 Server):

The computer must have TCP/IP (the most-used protocol for networking computers)
installed.

Windows NT 4.0:
Service pack 6 or higher is required.

Windows NT/2000/XP/2003 Server:

Administrators rights are required to install Radmin Communication Server.

Installation
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Both computers need to be connected by TCP/IP, either on a local network, modem-to-

modem or the Internet. Radmin Communication Server must be installed on the remote
computer. Radmin Communication Client must be installed on the local computer.

You must uninstall all earlier versions of Radmin Communication Server before
installing a new version.
To install Radmin Communication Server (either or both Radmin Communication Client
and Radmin Communication Server):

1. Run rcmclt30.exe to install Radmin Communication Client.

2. Follow the on-screen instructions and select installation directory when asked.
All required files will be copied into the specified directory.

3. Run rcmsrv30.exe to install Radmin Communication Server.

4. Follow the on-screen instructions. All required files will be copied to the
default system directory.
