3.0 CURRENT PROCESS

Current process that Wann Muslimah Salon use right know is through Whatsapp.
Staff’s Wann Muslimah Salon connect with their customer using whatsapp application. How
the customer get the details of the service, customer booking and confirm booking only using
whatsapp. After this process is confirm by staff’s Wann Muslimah Salon, customer will walk
in to salon based on booking time. All of this process is done manually and there is no record
of the customer.
4.0 PROBLEM STATEMENT

Wan Muslimah Salon did not have any system to help them manage their customer
information and customer booking service. Wan Muslimah Salon only have WhatsApp
application to get a booking from customer and manually write their data in a log book. So,
all the data was stored in a log book. Beside of that, manual salon booking system will
provide services only during office hours so customer have limited time to make any
transaction or reservation of the booking.
Before this, customer did not know about the price of the service in the salon and the
customer have to WhatsApp the staff first to ask about the price of each service. If customer
want to make a booking, customer have to contact the staff of Wan Muslimah Salon by
WhatsApp application. The staff will confirm the agreement of a booking after the customer
had choose their service and date. When the staff confirm the booking, the staff will write
their customer data in a log book. So, staff have to handle a lot of data in their books and
sometime the staff had to see a redundancy about customer information.
Staff also may difficult to produce monthly report or annual report and there will have
some miscalculation in total price per month. It will become slow management and hard to
staff find old record. So that, we provide this salon management system to help Wan
Muslimah Salon to manage their business and generate an accurate report systematically.
5.0 LITERATURE VIEW

It was very difficult to find out existing similar systems, as most of the salons use
only websites to promote their services. Similar salon management systems found after a
huge search were thoroughly studied as to identify functional and non-functional
requirements; which have been needed to include to the developed system. There are some
existing system that’s similar with project that’s we are proposed.
Schedule.com
This is an existing salon management software which consists of very useful features
to the client (owners of salons). This Figure displays the client creation screen at
‘schedule.com’ site. The new customer who never use this system need to fill the form first to
make sure the data of customer will be saved by the company.

This figure show the screen where the staff can check the available service and the
reserved time and date from customer. The system show the calendar to staff about the
appointment that have been made by their customer based on the type of service and time
also the staff who in charge.

Unique Salon Software
Unique Salon Software is complex software where one will not be able to use the
system before reading the user manual. This homepage of this system is unorganized as the
buttons are all in different sizes and the arrangements are all packed together. There are 18
buttons in total in the homepage. Unique salon software uses search function in all the
modules. It simplifies the retrieval of specific information. So, users can obtain the
information faster and easily.
Unique salon provided to booking management which can be make anywhere and
anytime. This booking management will help to book staff with rooms and equipment.
Booking management tool will give reminder through E-mail and 2-way text message. The
appointment will change colour when the client confirm. Booking management also provide
package of setup salon and spa.
Other than that, client who use this Unique Salon software also can see their sales and
staff report, customer that mostly coming to their salon, and also their revenue and booking
activity by clicking the dashboard. In the other hand, Unique Salon also help to increase
online reputation. Unique Salon will protect their client by stop the negative feedback on the
Google and Facebook. When the negative comment is stop, Unique Salon help to gain five
star rating and get more customer with the positive review.

Figure 4 is the page for client to enter their software. If the client is existing client, their just
need to fill their E-mail and password before click log in. However if the client is new, their
need to register before can enter the software.

Belliata.com
A software which provide features to the client (owners of salons) to carry out their
salon management functions efficiently. In advance features clients should pay for them.
Belliata.com goals is want to help all type of salons, barbar, and spa grow their own business
and more importantly improve their customer experience at the same time. Belliata will help
to manage the staff schedule. This software will help to organize their client staff schedule
include time off, add booking to the appointment calender and also do reschedule client if
they need to move the appointment.
Day by day most of customer expecting to be able to booking through online. By

using Belliata.com online scheduler tool, customer of the client can booking 24/7 safely via
client website and even their Facebook business page. Other than that, Belliata also help their
client to track which of their customer is the loyal and highest spending in their customer
base. By using customer management tool that provided in Belliata software allows client to
see their customer profile in a few click of mouse and even see their invoices. Client also can
add their customer birthday to customer record.

Figure 6 shows what client(owner of salon) need to submit an appointment to

belliata.com. Appointment in belliata.com is an automated SMS text message appointment
reminder that will able client (owner of salon) send a reminder of booking at a certain time
period to their customer to ensure that customer will not forget to coming at the salon.

In figure 7, new client need to fill the form before they proceed to other service. New
client need to turn on E-mail notification and SMS to make sure they receive any information
from the Belliata.com.
Belliata.com also do the report of their client business. This report is generate if their
client need some improvement about their business such as to find out the profit, which staff
has the most booking, also sales report. Moreover, Belliata.com also provided customer
feedback and reviews tool. Customer feedback and reviews tool is to ensure that their client
get the valuable feedback by sending a short survey after customer booking.
6.0 PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Aim
The aim of this project is to create and set up a system that helps my client to manage
and run her salon. In order to make the whole process straightforward a project plan has been
prepared. It will discuss the feasibility of the project, as well as the various risks involved.
The project plan will also examine the client’s requirements and the features that need to be
implemented, along with defining the minimum scope required to complete the required
software, and formulating the work schedule for the entire project.
Objectives and Goals:
I. To identify current problem that’s have been faced by Wan Muslimah Salon
when use the manual system before implementing this system.
II. To design solution to Wan Muslimah Saloon
III. To developed salon management system for Wan Muslimah Saloon

 They always had to turn the diary pages to search for appointment

 Had to always contact/ message the customers via a mobile to
announce the appointment statuses.
 Manual bill issue. All the service details, prices etc. were written in it
by hand.

 As the system is fully automated, it does not require human

efforts in calculating bill and maintain customer’s detail.
 Also it maintains records of all the employees along with their
salary information so there would be systematic way of
payment.
 Saves efforts and time and it is cost-effective.

 The admin has to manually manage the inventory section in the
system like what item have been used or sold and what items
are coming.
