This document provides a matrix of curriculum standards and recommended learning materials for 7th grade science organized by grading period and week. For each week, it lists the key learning competencies/standards for that time period, as well as any exemplar lessons, learning resources, and assessments that are available to help teach the material. The standards cover topics like scientific investigations, properties of mixtures and solutions, microscopy, cell biology, motion, waves, energy transfer, Earth systems, weather and climate, and seasons. The matrix is intended to guide instruction of the 7th grade science curriculum standards over the course of the school year.
