intention of his wife. At night this person rang to our Father telling him that the intention of his wife was the
intentions of the Father. Our father told him no, because then is a wheel leaving the Mass without intention.

162- THE FATHER


When the Father went to the USA, he met in San Francisco with a numerary that whistled when he was 30
years old and now he was 70 years old. Just when he whistled went to San Francisco and he was there
during many years alone. The Father told him that he and our Father had prayed for him a lot. The Father
had many details of affection with him. Once the Father took his head and put it on his shoulder, while our
brother was telling the Father that he hadn't words to express his feelings. The Father said that he felt the
same and that means that they have the same feeling in their hearts. We have to have the same feelings of

Paris 28-VI-56: our Father was going to say Mass and when he put the stole on he realised that the white
ribbon which touches the neck was dirty. He took off the ribbon telling our brothers that their may be a lot
of necessities, but with Our Lord we cannot allow these things. That was the same day the cup of tea. (Cn.

In Venezuela when our Father received a family, they gave him a rose: Father, this is for Our Lord in the
Tabernacle. The Counsellor asked our Father to put the rose near the Tabernacle and our Father said: "No,

165- BLESSED EUCHARIST


Associate who died in Pamplona in the sixties. He was postman, and while he was throwing stones broke his
arm. After 30 days with his arm in plaster, they took off the plaster and it broke again. They took an X-ray
and discovered a sarcoma. So, they had to cut off his arm. Months later, they discover methastasis. This
brother of ours who was giving his life to God, said that before he didn't understand the expression: "He
loved them to the end." But in spite of Jesus being infinite, He loved us to the end because he instituted the

Our Father could not say Mass in Ecuador, because he was ill. He said to the ecuatorians: I would come
here a hundred times, but I would ask Our Lord not to suffer this sacrifice. Because in the Mass there is the

and because he had a strong desire to say Mass, he waited a long time in the episcopal palace until they

says hello to this angel, and he was telling us that he doesn't know if the angel of the Work is the same as

From the Father: in the early years, our Father "did not have any money, because he had spent what he
had on apostolate. He could not even have his watch repaired, for example, though he needed it to be on
time at different places in Madrid where he carried out his work for souls. Then he would address his
guardian angel and ask him to fix his watch. And, `without miracles', the watch would start, the Father
says. For this reason the Father began to call his guardian angel `the watchmaker." (Meditations VI-469)

the house OK. When our Father arrived, from the door to the lounge room he went saying all the details
that weren't fixed properly. When they arrived to the lounge room, a brother of ours, who was working
there the whole week explained to our Father his feelings. Our Father told him: no worries, Our Lord gave

A brother of ours counted 14 times that our Father changed his soutane in one day to put on another

The doctor of our Father, D. Jose Luis Pastor, says that once our father discovered that he needed glasses

In Rome in the Architects room they put in air conditioning to be able to work with the plans in summer
without perspiring over them. They put the machine in a window, but because it wasn't big enough, they
put paper in the joints. When our father saw it, took off the paper saying: "This is not Opus Dei." (7-R1-

In Rome there is a job to clean underneath the window edges, to avoid when it rain, the water slip on the

200- DEATH
A numerary priest was giving a meditation about death and the devil, and the door began to open making a
noise. A big black dog came into the oratory, lying down in front of the meditation table. The priest said in a
