PROJECTS

Finite element modelling of shear critical R.C.C beam on Abaqus Simulia (final year project)
Analyzed a deep beam with various modelling techniques and quasi brittle constitutional models for
compression and tension behavior of concrete. Examined effects of concrete damaged plasticity (CDP)
parameters on concrete’s stress strain behavior (stiffness) followed by convergence and sensitivity analysis.
Recovered initial stiffness by bond slip analysis.

Design and estimation of 2 storey residential construction

Formed structural scheme, designed R.C.C elements (e.g. slabs, beams, lintels etc.) and created B.O.Q as per
Punjab govt. rates. Calculated man power required for each work package.

Design of 3 storey R.C.C frame structure with flat plate on ETABS

Project consisted of a 3 storey frame structure on ETABS with flat plate situated at earthquake zone 2A and
subjected to wind speeds of 70 kmh. Design included columns, flat plate and shear walls followed by
comparison of manually analyzed 2-D frame with ETABS results.

Design program of R.C.C beams and slabs in M.S Excel (LRFD)

Created excel sheets for design and capacity analysis of singly, doubly, continuous and T beams. Similarly,
one way, two and continuous slab design sheets were created.

Construction practices in Lahore

Elementary analysis and comparison of construction techniques used in Railway flats frame structure, Beijing
underpass and residential construction.

Economic, social and environmental effects of orange line train

Video documentary and report on primary, secondary and tertiary impacts of the project. Analyzed economic,
social and environmental impact assessments published by Punjab govt. Conducted on-site surveys to
