Senior Draftsman (Precast Design Department ) | SMEET Precast W.L.L Qatar [August 2014- Present]

 Preparation of general arrangement and shop drawing for production.

 Preparing complete Hollow core slab layout & fabrication drawings for production according to
designed project or as per site measurement.
 Handling multiple projects to serve in a department as main lead.
 Preparation of shop drawings such as precast Panels, Wall cladding, wall framing parapet,
columns & beam layout & dowel bar layout & Double Teel Slab Layout Single Tee Layout &
Beam Layout & GRC Work.
 Handling RFQ for upcoming projects and preparing proposals as per sales department and
engineering requirement.
 Complete boundary wall detailing with 3d visual presentation.
 Preparing presentation as per client requirement and keeping our company standards in
different software’s like Sketch up and other CAD software. Preparing accurate drawing
according to standards.
 Presentation of different type of precast proposals by converting architectural system to create
complete precast system visualization.

 Generating new product designs and modifying existing designs for customers.
 Itemizing all components & materials for all jobs in production.
 Provide technical advice and assistance to the production team.
 Managing different CAD projects, proposals & RFQ.
 Involved in the manufacture of prototypes & trials.
 Maintain drawing files and records throughout the duration of contracts.

and coordinate work with others.
 Identify possible structural issues and work with the project leader, supervisor, or others to
determine a solution.
 Create floor plans, detail and assembly drawings for exhibits, trade shows for construction.
  Transcription of design specifications on to engineering drawings.
 Translation of verbally communicated requirements into CAD and/or SolidWorks drawings.
 Verify and update existing plans, isometrics, and P&IDs.
 Manage drawing files in an orderly manner storing documents in project files on the network.
 Development of Mechanical design standards, details, and best practices.
 Understands and applies revision control.
 Creates MS Word and EXCEL project support documents, such as Specifications, Bill of
Materials, component list design notations, etc.
 Coordinates detail designs with project engineers.
 Participates in design reviews for constructability and accuracy of designs
