Progressive Union, Lagos Branch, also made Lucky ‘Director of Music’ for the Union’s cultural Dance
Group.

Lucky is excellently good in both singing and playing percussive instruments whether Western or African
instruments, which is the reason he is so much sought after to play the Big Metal Gong, otherwise called
‘Ibome ukwu’ or ‘Ogene’, which he plays with his wizardry skill from his childhood, in the area of African
Cultural music.

Zealous to publish musical album, Lucky recorded his first Six Tracks Demo Tape, using his elder sister
Juliet, and his elder brother’s wife, Tina, both, former members of choir with Lucky, as part of his first
female back ups at Harmony Recording Studio, in Ajegunle, Lagos, where he was resident in his elder
brother’s place then, on the 5th of June, 1990, with a Reggae Rub-a-dub music genre.

Popularly called ‘Rasta’ or Lucky Lojramk, as stage name, with grown ‘Dreadlocks’, Lucky continued with
the struggle of publishing his album, recorded an Eight tracks album, at Lafsy Recording Studio, Badagry
Express Road, Lagos, with the engineer/producer, Simon Lafua, and finally offloaded, mastered, and
mixed the Eight tracks into his first ¼ inch Master Tape, at Music Plus Studio (PatSol Recording Studio),
Commercial Road, Yaba, Lagos, in 1992, November 13 th and 14th, with completer admixture of Western
and African musical sounds of his creation from his experience in playing both African cultural and
Western music. Though, the album is not released till date.

In 1994, ‘Rasta’ Lucky Lojramk changed his name from ‘Rasta’ to ‘Gentle’ (Jentle) after shaving his hair
(Dread Locks) due to the death of Chief J.O. Obah (The Obasogie of Egbudu-Akah), his father, as it is
customary that children must shave hair after the death of parent. Then after the burial, Lucky began to
maintain a unique hair style he called ‘Gentle (Jentle) style’, and maintaining the name, Jentle Lucky
Lormarks, or simply JLucky.
